Left a high end watch I received as a retirement gift for them to take a look at for consideration of consigning for me. Clerk said the owner would have to take a look at it to see if he would take It for consignment. He said the owner would call me about it. It was there for almost 5 days and no call from the owner. I also left a message mid-week for the owner to call me. Went and picked up my watch today. Decided I didn't want to do business with them if the owner wasn't even going to call me about it. When I picked it up, I asked the clerk if there had been an illness or something in the family to see if that was the reason for the delay. He more or less said there was no illness, but that the owner had been busy with athletics (his kids football). Said he really hadn't been there all week. Just had been in and out for maybe 20 minutes at a time. The clerk told me that 2 other customers had left bracelets for consignment and that they were still there waiting to be looked at by the owner too. Pretty poor way of doing business in my opinion. The owner is the rudest person I ever met. I took in one piece to sell after already taking it to another jewler. I was trying to get more than 1 quote. The owner told me flat out looking at it that it was a 14k gold piece and I would get about $109 from him. I already knew that it was 22k after having it tested at another jewler. This man flat out lied to me and gave off the attitude that I was wasting his time. The ring was purchased in India in the 40s. It weighed in at 7 pennyweight. His smug attitude made my decision not to do any future business with him. I had many other 22k pieces to sell in addition to pices I wanted appraised. The only place to shop for jewelry. Mr. Boozer and his staff are excellent. I just bought a watch for my wife and Mr. Boozer personally contacted me to say thanks. He was currently out of the country....go to another national chain and see if the owner will do that!!! Missy helped me and was more than patient to help with the decision and let my sister in-laws come by also! I have been doing business there for many years and would never go elsewhere.
