My 10 year old daughter had the delight of going to not one...but three of teacher Allison's classes last summer. It was one of the highlights of her summer. Allison is the best mix of educational, fun, skill and creative genius all mixed into one. My daughter came away with an educational art experience, CUTE finished projects, and new friends. Allison is just great with kids, she is a gifted artist and makes her students feel seen and special. We will for sure be including time in Make for Joy classes this next summer. We have done 2 of the art camps so far and now my kids are begging to be signed up for the spring sessions. I have a 7 and 9 year old and both had a fabulous time at Make for Joy. My daughter cannot wait until art class each week. She has had so much fun learning amazing techniques such as felting, weaving, blocking, pottery, painting. Allison also exposes the students to an artist in each technique so not only are they having fun doing they are also learning about art.
