My daughter came to this store on Saturday and found a pair of bow earrings she liked. She didn’t buy them because she didn’t want to spend all of her shopping money (she’s 13). She told me they were $50 and they were so cute. I went to the store the following day (Sunday) and found them. When I went to pay; the sales person rang me up and said the price was $60.10. I questioned her because the tag said $50. She looked and confirmed it did say $50, but she said they changed the price this morning so now they’re $55. I said to her very nicely “I think you have to sell them to me for the advertised price.” She grabbed another salesperson and told her the issue and then came back to me and said “yea that’s our mistake we can only sell it to you for $55 because we changed the price last week.” At that point someone else came from the back and loudly asked “what’s the problem?” She then said they couldn’t sell it to me for $50 because they changed the price this morning. So what was it, did they change the price last week or this morning? One of the ladies said “well you don’t have to buy them you can contact customer service.” They gave me the customer service email address (even though she never wrote out the full email just wrote customercare@gorjana) and they wouldn’t provide their names, but said Stella was the manager. As I walked out I asked if I could see the earrings again to take a picture and the 2nd lady said “no. And we already fixed the price.” I said “wow you guys are really making it difficult for me to shop here” and she proceeded to say “it’s really not a big deal just pay the $5. It’s only $5.” I asked her how she would feel if she were in my position and she said “I would not care I would just pay the $5.” At that point I would never shop at a store where the employees were so rude. If it’s not a big deal, they should have just honored their $5 price mistake. It was a really disappointing experience. I have never shopped at this store before and...
Read moreI went to Broadway plaza today on a hunt to find a nice gift for my cousin ahead of her birthday lunch and came across Gorjana. I knew about this place as a friend gifted me a pair of earrings & a necklace from here on my birthday (which I wear everyday and was hoping I could gift my cousin a staple jewelry piece from here as well).
When I entered, I was kindly greeted by two young ladies and was very casual and clear about what I was looking for. Jasmine helped me look at the popular gifts that fit with my budget and was quick to answer any questions I had along with pointing me to different pieces that my cousin may like. We went with a necklace & an initial with a heart which was super cute and the price was not bad at all. I was worried at the thought of my cousin not loving the gift, but Jasmine reassured me that we can get her a gift certificate which eased my nerves and helped me follow through without overthinking the transaction.
I definitely plan to come back to get myself a gift, I loved seeing the return of the chunky charm bracelets & would love to come in and build one overtime with them.
Thank you Jasmine for your patience, friendliness, and...
Read moreThe manager, an elderly white woman, was racist to friends my mom. My friends mom who is a black woman, went to get her bracelet fixed here. The general employee, a young woman, was nice and helpful, but once the manager was done serving another customer, she gave the young employee a sign to stop the interaction with my mom. The young employee's mood quickly changed and she told her mom, "It's expensive. You should take it somewhere else." My friend’s mom was then escorted out of the store quickly by the younger employee. ESCORTED. The entire situation was influenced by the manager. She was constantly having eye contact/doing signals with the employee. This occurred about a year ago, but we are now speaking out on it because we were in the area again and my friend’s mom remembered and explained the situation. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and disrespectful and beyond disgusting. All customers should be respected and treated the same despite physical appearance. I have no tolerance or respect for those treat anyone ANYONE different because of the color of their skin. Disgusting and I...
