We just had bought our home and our closets needed some help! I was fortunate enough to have been assigned to Shannon to design our closets. She is not only an amazing designer she is also an amazing human. She listened to the needs we had for our spaces and designed accordingly. We didn't need to make any changes to her design. I was so impressed by her. I was sent the design with the ability to pay for the materials and install. This was a very easy and convenient process. Shannon scheduled our install with our meeting to approve her design. The installation team called and emailed the next day, confirming the install date and time. We've just had our daughter's closet installed. Marc showed up on time with the most amazing attitude I've had the pleasure of being around in a long time. I feel so blessed to have been able to work with this amazing group of people. I have to say that I'm addicted to The Container Store. I love everything about them including the manager at the Walnut Creek location Lori, another amazing human. Terrible customer service by the management at this location. My first experience with this store was bad one. On March 13, I placed a $500 order online and elected to use curbside pick up because shipping would take 5-10 days the website said “you can get your order faster with contactless curbside pick up.” I guess I missed the fine print. I went to pick up my order at the store on the 14th (like the it said at checkout) and was told it would be APRIL 14. ONE MONTH later!! All items were available on site in the Walnut Creek store and they needed one month to process my order. Again...shipping would have been to my front door by March 23 latest. That was shocking to me and I spoke to the manager who behaved as though he could care less so I canceled my order. I later spoke to general manager who was much more pleasant but didn’t do anything to resolve the issue. She told me that’s how all Container Stores process orders but that is not true. As newcomers to California and new condo buyers in Rossmoor, we are in need of a good designer to help maximize our limited space. We started at The Container Store to look for referrals. And we stopped there! We met with Carol of the closet design team. It's the holiday season, retail stores are short-staffed throughout the country due to Covid, there's an upcoming sale so store traffic is high...and Carol was patient, professional, caring and helpful! She patiently guided my husband and me through the process of planning three closets. We had to change one of our appointments with her and, due to limited appointment availability, she offered to accommodate us at the end of her day! Carol is a gem who clearly takes personal pride in her contribution to customer service. We are very grateful and look forward to our new closet...
