Horrible customer service. Took four days to get a prescription. Unacceptable. Story: my doctor sent a prescription to the pharmacy on Friday. I went to pick it up the next day. I was told it had to be ordered (which I assumed) and that the pharmacy doesn’t order prescriptions until Sunday, meaning it won’t come until Monday afternoon. That’s four days since they got the prescription. If you need a prescription quickly, do not use this pharmacy. Not Done: I understand vaccines are very important but if you can't both deliver vaccines and help people get their prescriptions at YOUR pharmacy you should just close your pharmacy. (And deliver vaccines full time or something). Took me 3 days to get a prescription transferred to a different pharmacy because they didn't have it in stock (and they weren't going to get it for 4 days). Also took me 6 phone calls (not counting all the people at the store who hung up on me , finally called customer service to ask to be transferred to the pharmacy. Make sure you tell your doctor NOT TO SENT A PRESCRIPTION TO GIANT PHARMACY IT WILL TAKE YOU 3 days to get it back to a place that can actually help you. None of the Giant Pharmacies in the entire Washington DC area were able to help me and couldn't tell me what pharmacy had the drugs because they were "too busy." Stay away from Giant Pharmacy if you need a prescription until all vaccines are distributed. I would give them negative...

They denied receiving it, blamed the doc, said they must have sent it to the wrong place. I guess it could happen. Had the doc resend, confirm with me it was sent, and they still said it wasn't there, said my doc has the wrong number. Until one of the longer term pharmacists came in, and miraculously the prescription appears. Couple months pass, different doc, different doc office, new prescription. Same issue. Doc sends, I call, no-one answers, I show up, they say they never got it and my doc was wrong. I have the doc send again, give it time, I call, no answer. I show up. They say it was never sent. Three times I had my doctors office resend it. It was a simple prescription too. 24 hours, countless calls, super frustration, I need the prescription. I call my doc, change pharmacies to HT, they send it there and I have no issue, UNTIL I go pick it up and HT says "insurance wont cover it, because apparently its been filled at another pharmacy today" - UMM...surprise, Giant suddenly miraculously filled said prescription that for over 24 hours and multiple calls and f2f convos they said was never sent to them. However, I was able to get great help and information from a phone call that I made with questions. The female front person was very resourceful and kind enough to share a great tip for filling my prescription! Also white male pharmacist in the back found more coupons for me! I had a name card with their names, but I am sorry that I lost, so that I can’t mention their names….
