Lustre Formal Wear — Local services in Washington

I visited Lustre in a pinch with a friend in September 2025. We needed tuxedos for a black tie gala the following evening. Tony, who was amicable, personal, and professional, took our measurements and had us walking out with our gear in approximately 4 hours. The quality and fit were exceptional — so much so, that we were easily among the best dressed at the gala. The tuxedos came with all of the accessories: bow tie, cuff links, and button studs.

Lustre is a block away from the Library of Congress and two blocks from Capitol Hill Metro Station, so it’s easily accessible. You can go get fitted in the morning, have lunch/do a tour, and come back and collect your suit in the afternoon. Lustre Formal Wear provided one of the finest customer experiences I have had from any business, period. Their service is top notch, the suit was impeccable and Brian offers the quickest turnaround in the business.

I would rather use Lustre for a same-day rush fitting for a wedding, than use some of the bigger retail brands we all know over a period of months or weeks in advance.

It's not often that one experiences truly stellar customer service, and it is certainly not ''the norm". Next time you need to make a lasting impression with a fitted suit, give Lustre a call and find out for yourself how exceptional they truly are.

Had there been 10 stars, the place will take it undoubtedly !! I rented a tailed tux for my international wedding with 3 weeks extended period. First of all, they supplied me with multiple options,a vest a cummerbund, 2 different colors of removal buttons and a shoes with no extra fees !! I don't think any place will do that !!! Secondly, the treatment that I received from Brian and Dorian is truly exceptional, they are extremely accommodating and very nice people.
