This fountain at the front of the Library of Congress Thomas Jefferson Building adds a dramatic note to the building. Don’t forget to go there and take a picture.

It is showing King Neptune, the Roman god of the sea and the brother of Minerva, and his court. The figures were sculpted by Roland Hinton Perry in year 1898. It was inspired by the popular 18th-century Trevi...

This fountain was showing on my map, and I still couldn't find it! I toured the Library of Congress and then came out to wait for my Lyft...and there it was. This beautiful fountain! The details are spectacular. Simple where they need to be, yet very majestic. I love the turtles, my kids would have been beside themselves over these turtles.

Gorgeous nautical themed fountain right in front of the Library of Congress right behind the US Capitol. The fountain is meticulously detailed and of the finest craftsmanship. Great place to snap a picture before you head into the library. And I HIGHLY recommend continuing on into the Library as it is incredible...
