That. Was. Awesome!!! I was not looking for this place, and had no clue they were still open as I approached (due to major closures during pre-innauguration weekend). I was the only customer at the time, and the employees were welcoming and offered any assistance. I enjoyed my time simply browsing for a few things as souvenirs of the event, and they had LOTS to choose from. Prices were less than I'd assumed, and offered several items on great sales. The retail items are nicely organized and the place was very clean. Extremely easy to recommend to others when visiting DC.

If you love America, you’ll love this welcome center. The prices are relatively low and there are so many different USA themed items. From mini statues of some presidents to framed documents to shirts and other souvenirs, this shop has it all. I personally bought a t-shirt, a desk art piece and a hard copy of The Constitution. Total was maybe 15 dollars to 20 dollars. It does lean onto the current president (makes sense) but offers some things from older presidents, like Pro Trump memorabilia and Obama era posters and clothes. So everyone is well represented.

This is such a great souvenir shop that has pretty much anything you can be looking for to commemorate your trip to Washington. I actually stopped in twice during my stay to get some great gifts to bring back home. The store itself is well stocked, clean, and very spacious. The prices can be rather steep depending on what you are purchasing, but overall, I definitely recommend checking this place out.

After my husband and I had breakfast today we walked into this souvenir shop. There was a cut-out of President Donald J. Trump so we took our picture with it. I noticed while my husband was taking my picture, there were two women watching. After I moved away one woman walked up to the cut-out, pulled a sign out of her bag, and had the other woman take her pic. The sign read, "F*ck Trump! No King!". She held the sign while giving the cut-out the middle finger. ALL of the workers in the souvenir shop were cheering and clapping her. I turned to my husband and said I was ready to leave; I wouldn't spend one red cent in that shop. Saturday, June 14th, 2025 at approximately 2:00 - 2:15 pm.

Anyone who is pro American, pro military, pro Trump I would encourage NOT stopping and shopping at the #WashingtonWelcomeCenterSouvenirShop. It is in the same block as Ford's Theatre National Historic Site and...

This “Welcome Center” was anything but welcoming. I’m giving two stars because the souvenirs were decently priced and there was a lot of selection, but my 9 high school students and I went in over an hour before they closed and received nothing but rude comments and looks from the workers there. One lady was talking on the phone the whole time and loudly complained that she was having to fold up shirts because we were looking through the clothes. She complained more about us being there and looking around in “her section.” The whole time we were there, it seemed like no workers in the store wanted us there. When we checked out, the cashier said “put it here,” referring to the merchandise I was buying, which was a good amount. Rude service and so-so...

All was going well with my shopping at the 1001 location until I went to the counter and attempted to order my multiple clothes. I was ordering three jumpers saying Washington dc, all in different colours. (Orange, blue and pink). All three of the jumpers were exactly the same - the same brand and same style, all that differed was the colour. Yet at the counter the employee told me that the pink jumper was $3 more than the others. I told her many times that all the jumpers were the same and therefore should all cost the same, but this was to no avail. I eventually gave up after she couldn't think of anything to say and walked away. I will not be shopping at this location or this store again, and I urge other potential customers to look for better...
