Main Street Scoops — Restaurant in Washington

Main Street Scoops is one of the best ice cream shops I’ve ever patronized! It’s family owned and the staff is polite and friendly. They greet everyone walking in the door.

They carry Hersheys brand ice cream and also have a coffee selection- frappes- iced- etc. You will have to look hard to find an ice cream shop that has more flavors than Scoops! If you dream in Rocky Road, Coconut Almond, or any other flavor of Hersheys ice cream you NEED to stop here when in Washington, NC!!

Their prices are super reasonable and for 2 people - each getting 2 scoops on a waffle cone- it’s around $10! They have ample air conditioned seating, and also have a few arcade games. Their decor is a classic old time ice cream shop and they’ve won many local awards for their quality.

This is an awesome ice cream shop. Space has a great old wood floor and cool tile ceiling. Everything is very colorful! Staff person was very friendly and gave very generous servings. I paid $3.50 for a single scoop. See my picture for how big that scoop was! I was able to split my scoop and got coconut and dark chocolate. Yum. You can get in a cup or cone and there is not an extra charge for your cone. At the checkout there was even a container of dog biscuits so I assume your furry friend is welcome too. This ice cream shop is excellent. I stopped in one afternoon on my day off. Let me tell you i was thoroughly impressed . I was going to have the banana split or the turtle split. Decisions Decisions ! I opted for the butter pecan scoops in cinnamon shell. It was fantastic. I sat outside on the bench on Main Street in Washington NC. There was a slight relaxing breeze . What a way to spend the afternoon. The customer service was excellent too. You are free to sample flavors to aide in your choices. I highly recommend.
