Really wish I could break up the reviews, because the installers did an exceptional job! However, Carpetland in general fell extremely short of satisfactory service. We were building a new house and needed flooring for the entire main floor (obviously a pretty penny). We picked everything out the first day, recieved the invoice, and confirmed. They suggested to call two weeks before install to confirm measurements, and delivery. Followed up multiple times during the build as we did with all sub-contractors, getting a different invoice (higher) each time. Eventually we said we will find someone to install the vinyl to save money because the price kept increasing, assuming they must not keep very good records. Of course they required us to pick up 900 square feet of vinyl from the store since they weren't installing it. I guess they assume average people have shipping trucks in their backyards? This was all before the two week scheduling and measurement. We should have canceled then, but during the Covid fiasco, we were committed unfortunately. Without saying names out of respect, spoke to the Manager and Sales Rep numerous times, getting the run around for scheduling, taking the day off twice for install with no call or text when they didn't show. Apparently the communication is atrocious. Provided two down payments, which was odd, for most of the total. Finally got everything installed (looks beautiful). We called the manager to settle up, only to get a balance of almost double the original price after we already paid the two down payments. Go somewhere cheaper, with coherent representatives. House projects are stressful enough without the hassle of misinformation. Never even received an apology. We just paid the balance and said,...

I rated this Carpetland, 3 stars for the simple fact that I had a good experience on one end and suspect experience on the other. I will start with the good. When it comes to the installation portion, the installers were very professional and efficient. They could learn a little when it comes to cleaning up after themselves. I have had to have two tires repaired because they left nails in my driveway. But the crew that installed the hard flooring were very entertaining. The installation crews were the only reason I didn't lose my cool with the bad experiences. Now here is the bad. The commercials are just that, commercials. When it comes to installation, whether it is half off or free, the sales person will give you the sales speech to tell you how it works. But I am no dummy, I just want him shut up, I know he is trying to work his commission in there. I could have had the almost exact materials and installation done at Lowes or Home depot for a about half the cost. But I was trying to support local(ish) businesses. The receipt they used to show me the figures looks nothing short of a "Good Will Hunting" math problem. However, after the installations were finished, I pulled out the ole' decoder ring and looked over the receipt written up. That is when I noticed that I was charged for things that were not actually installed. Weird huh? Personally I would not purchase from them. Love love love our shopping experience at Carpetland in Waterloo. Last summer he had wood floor put in our bedroom. Toni was so helpful getting us the right floor and color for the area. The guys that put the floor in were awesome. Worked quickly and did a great job. We love the floor. We just had new carpet put everywhere else in the house. Again Toni helped us and was so helpful leading us to the right carpet for our lifestyle with 4 dogs. She was so patient while we picked out a color. We had a few samples home for sure. We ordered and it came quickly and Turner was great at setting up our installation. Since we got so much carpet it would take two days to install so he worked around my days off from work, so we did part one week and the other part the next week. Work out so well. Again the guys that came to install were outstanding. They worked so hard, they were so professional , went above and beyond , very pleasant and the carpet looks great. We highly recommend Turner, Toni and the team at Carpetland Waterloo. When we need anything else we will be going to see our friends at Waterloo Carpetland. Thank you for making our house look great.
