Crossroads Mall — Local services in Waterloo

Knowing how impressive the mall used to be before the massive remodel decades ago, to what it has unfortunately become...a ghost town mall. It's disappointing that our mall and a of our stores are vanishing. There have been times when I swear I'm the only customer in the mall. I will say due to its frequent vacancies, the mall is fairly well kept and clean. The public restrooms are a bit of a nightmare. But that's not the fault of the custodians. People are just gross. I really wish the powers that be would make it more affordable for vendors to operate out of the mall but it's all about money. The whole town is just waiting on the announcement that the mall is finally closing for good. There's maybe ten stores left and that probably includes the food vendors. It's just sad. I miss the old...

It's sad, you go back about a decade and this place had lots of stores. Dillards, What I would consider the last remaing major store, unless you count at home, in this mall is closing. There's lots of factors that result in stores leaving a mall, one of them being rent/lease and another being the amount of customers a store gets.

From people I've talked to a lot of businesses are hoping that the amusement park expansion for lost island will bring people and in turn bring businesses back into the mall. Given everything going on currently only time will tell.

I want to conclude with, Online shopping through Amazon, etc... may be nice, but nothing beats being able to go into a store to try on clothing, and even being able to get your items that day. Seeing businesses...

The vendors were nice and they have lots of open space in the mall I felt really blah walking through there there really was not a feel of excitement of anything. I’m sorry I was gonna be kind but the mall in Waterloo is dreadful. I know why people don’t really go in there and why they have no shops anymore. It’s hard to get energetic and motivated and in a good mood when you walk into a place and it’s just there. If it wasn’t for the vendors that mall would’ve been nothing so way to go vendors. I feel if they bring the ball and have a new feel about the mall when you walk in there and bring people back change it up it’s been the same for how many years it’s dreary when you walk into that place sorry I wish I had something better to say.
