Sales guy was good, prices seemed good, bought over 5k of stuff. Our clearance sectional was delivered initially. Couch leg was broken off sometime after purchase and instead of telling us what happened, they delivered it with dried gorilla glue dripping down the leg of a nice couch. They had drilled out the frame, added an adaptor and glued it upright, doing a HORRIBLE job... but my wife accepted it bc we spent so much time trying to find a good leather sectional and it was reduced. They compd us the delivery fee and some Macy's bucks, none of which took away the feeling of their horrible service. 2 full months later, our NONcustom dining set and sofa came thru. No issues, furniture looks great, but it was delayed just over 2 months from purchase. The delivery guys this time were excellent w show covers and professional work. Now, another week after that the king bed frame and headboard came. The delivery was past their 2 hour window. I called them to find out why they were late, they did not call us, so we wasted 2 + hours w kids. Once arrived, the guys spoke very little English, would not back the truck to the house (unlike the dining delivery guys) and appeared to have no idea how to move furniture (no shoe covers, pads etc). The dining set guys were much more professional. These delivery guys then started putting stuff upstairs into the bedroom. Then they came to the largest part (the headboard) which apparently would require dismantling the banister. I had to reschedule that delivery so I'm around and apparently they broke the piece during this trip.
Anyhow, this has just been a miserable process of inept delivery, despicable practices (delivering broken goods, not telling us and trying to fix it w terrible workmanship), and finally massively delayed NONcustom furniture.
Update 2/14 Bed still not delivered or scheduled to be delivered. Ordered 10/2. Was told 12/2015 it would be ready early 2/206. Now Rep just told us maybe available 3/22. 6 mos later....
A bench ordered w my dining set somehow warped while settling after purchase. The 4 legs no longer come close to touching the floor uniformly. We used the dining set maybe 4 times for a formal meal. The chairs and table are great. Not sure if during setup they tightened it too tight and the heat got to it? The good is that it only took 5 min to setup someone to come by to eval and they had an apt in 3 days, will see how that goes.
Purchased a coffee table in the interval (price and style were right). Sales rep again very good, but the purchase process was again 30 min of torture. TIP: sales people with backgrounds in design may not be the best checkout people w all the credit issues and finance stuff. The delivery went very well and piece...
Read moreOver a period of thirty years, my husband and I have bought furniture at this Macy's beautifully set up store. We have always been very happy with the quality, comfort and style of the furniture we have purchased here and in the past, we've had only praise for the delivery service.
This time, however, after visiting the store and purchasing and paying in full for new living room furniture at the end of July, and waiting eight weeks for delivery, we were extremely disappointed on Saturday, September 28, the designated by Macy's delivery day we agreed upon, (which also happened to be our grandson's 6th birthday celebration) to receive text after text delaying delivery throughout the day, subsequently missing the family celebration and no furniture delivery! It was disgraceful. We got rid of our old furniture earlier in the week and they brought us nothing! And now they are lying to us over the phone about when they plan to come deliver this fully paid for furniture and insist that because the deliveries are scheduled by a computer, we cannot schedule a convenient to us time, but have to let a computer determine when the furniture will be delivered and it's our loss if we are at work and cannot be home to receive it! This is abominable. We now give Macy's a no star rating as they have taken our money, given us nothing but grief as we pursue them to straighten this out and hope never to deal with them again after they completely refund all we have arranged in good faith. And we need SOMEONE to help us get our money back AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. AND if we don't hear from an authority very soon, I will post this review on other forms of social media...
Read morethis place is terrible.... I purchase a kids bed with the optional slide out bed and was given a 2 week delivery time. I waited 2 week and received a call that the bed would be delivered on a specific day and time frame. Delivery day comes and they deliver the bed but instead of the our slide out bed its a storage unit. No big deal and we call MIKE TOPNICK who sold us the bed and tells us that its his mistake and there going to resubmit the order and send us out the slide out bed. The 2ND attempt was to be made a week later and I thought this was going to be fixed, WRONG...... They send the same storage unit!... We call back and speak to the sales rep MIKE TOPNICK and then he flips a 180 and tells me that we were wrong and the price we paid was for the storage unit!!... So after having to deal with his attitude about he didn't make a mistake he tells us that he's going to honor the purchase price. So we wait another week and they call to confirm a delivery date and time. 3rd attempt on day of delivery we get a call saying they will arrive in 15 minutes, 30 minutes pass the driver calls and tells us they're outside and states an address that we no longer live at!!!!!!!!.... So the drive says he can't make another stop to our actual home and says we need to talk to dispatch. Well today is that day and were out of a bed and will never doing business with again.
My question is..... If Macy's made 2 delivery attempts already to my home, How do you make a delivery attempt to another address? terrible service! ...
