I want to start off by saying everyone always has been great at this location until the associate I encountered today. I had to return some shoes I purchased a week ago with a coupon. I called prior and OKād everything including not having the box for my shoes. Everyone was nice about everything. I show up to the store there was an associate in front, greeted me, and was nice as always. She saw I had shoes in my hand, asked if I needed help. I said, āIām just bringing in an exchangeā and she said, āno problem, let me know if you need any helpā. I keep walking some woman I believe her name is Palimer yells to me as Iām walking to grab the exchange pair, āSir! do you need help?!ā Not really nice at all but more in like a nasty tone like Iām doing something wrong. I said Iām grabbing a pair to try on and exchange and she goes, ā you need the box to return the shoesā. I replied that it had already been okād and she didnāt even apologize which would normally be the customer service thing to do. āSorry I didnāt know you spoke with someone, okā anyways sometimes people have a bad day so I didnāt take her lack of manners to heart. Now I have the shoes and my luck, she is my cashier. Iām returning the shoe and now she wants me to pay $8 as āper policyā because Iām exchanging the shoe for a different one I have to pay even though Iām exchanging for a shoe of lesser value. Really nasty says, āsorry thereās nothing I can do and if you call customer service they are just going to say itās up to me and Iām not going to do it.ā Really nasty and didnāt want to help me at all. This whole time I had $10 in my rewards, if she was really trying to help me she would have mentioned that and also an easy way to diffuse the situation but no. Why? Because she was being nasty. I called customer service they apologized and credited me $10 rewards for then inconvenience and her lack of professionalism. Now I went back in and the nice associate who greeted me when I walked in was now my cashier. No problems from there. great staff but...

This past weekend, I had to pull my own self away from my e-mails and the STORE!!! The store always has a lively energy as does the employees. The prices are the best! Did I say I LOVE the Clearance section! Something that amazed me was how quickly I was alerted via e-mail with my new points! And the friendliness, professionalism and knowledge of the store, product etc that Ashley has at the Rt 23 Wayne Store! OMG! Can we clone her??? I must also add that if there were no other reason to come to the store what DSW does in the area of philanthropy is so amazing! #SoleforSouls! I love that I am able to come to DSW with a greater purpose... One that not only touches my soul but so many in other countries.! Continue making a difference! I went to exchange a pair of shoes for another size and realized I didnāt want the shoe anymore and asked for a full return. After standing at the desk for over 10 minutes, I asked what was wrong because no one was explaining the process to me and what was taking so long. Along came Victoria, one of the managers there who advised the employee helping me what to do but only made things worse and more complicated. Victoria had no people skills and lacked customer service the entire time. I asked them again, what was wrong because they still didnāt just return the shoe and money back to my card. After 20 mins of back and forth dialogue and confusion, Anaisa came along and fixed everything - she even fixed Victoriaās mistake.
