Anyone who writes about cleanliness of this place is correct. I've been going here for 3 years. Not a clean facility. Equipment has dust on top of and around all equipment....not using the tools of the vacuum? Restrooms are not wiped down regularly, showers are also not clean. Today there was mud from someone's shoes yesterday. If bathrooms arent clean.....think the machines are?
Massage chairs are great, but again no one cleans them as I have witnessed dirt spots for days and not used the equipment because it is not clean. Sadly same goes for tanning bed. Grease stains, dirt and hair. Take your flip flops in because you don't want to be in barefeet.
Hourly cleaning policy maybe? This is a gym.....body fluids, breathing, COVID.....?
To continue...
Their gym policies.....they do not enforce customers cleaning the equipment after usage, so yes if you don't clean the machine before you use it....who knows what is on it...ringworm? COVID? No one wears masks, staff does not wear masks, there is no social spacing or distancing, people wear jeans when it says not to.
Manager Matt is poor at customer service. Issues brought to his attention and his solution was HE would cancel my membership. How about you look out for the safety of everyone? There is a policy to wipe the equipment? Yes. There is a policy that says no jeans? Yes. How about you enforce the policy? Sorry you have to confront people, but yes that is your job to implement the policies and rules for everyone! Not cancel someones membership because they ask you too enforce the policies. New management should be looked at.
Great nice people that work there, besides management Matt and his unprofessionalism. Nice that it is 24 hours. Same services are down the road...24 hour gym, with friendly people, no contracts, no poor customer service.....oh and it's clean with people that want to improve you and your health.
Better gyms out there. Don't waste your time, money and health going here.

Read moreUp until the pandemic, my husband and I enjoyed going to the gym. Unfortunately once the pandemic hit, the business I worked for was dissolved. Once Workout Anytime did a soft reopening according to Governor Coopers order - only allowing those with a doctors recommendation to workout, they began the billing process again. They sent out an email which went to spam. Then, we noticed a charge on our account for the gym which we 1) didn't have a doctors note to workout 2) nor did we feel comfortable working out at a gym with people sweating, etc. during a pandemic. My husband called Workout Anytime to cancel our membership and they said we would have to come in to do so (first error in a global pandemic - if we don't feel comfortable coming in, there should be another way to cancel). So, we come in to an employee not wearing a mask to cancel our membership. He says we can cancel for a large fee or we can "freeze our account." I asked if there is any wiggle room with this due to the pandemic, at which point he put his mask on. I guess he then realized I cared about him wearing a mask. I emailed Matt the manager multiple times to which he hasn't responded to two of the emails. He didn't give any leeway to the fact that I am unemployed during a pandemic and can't throw $350 to a gym that I literally and legally cannot use at the time. So I "froze" the account. Now, it is October and we received another charge on our account. Still no email response from Matt. I understand the need to keep the business afloat amidst the pandemic and want to support the Weaverville community. But now seeing that they are taking advantage of those in the community to get every last dime out of someone is unethical and poor business practice. You find out who people really are in time of hardship. Anyways, I'm sure the response to this review will be a canned response to contact the corporate office which I already plan to do. Just a warning to all of those wanting to workout right now- I'd look into gyms that care for their customers health and safety rather than taking advantage of those in their very...
Read moreSTAY AWAY! After reassurance that we wouldn't be charged another month after cancellation by a MANAGER, here we are MONTHS later and TWICE spaced out 40 days they've charged the monthly membership fee!!! We moved hours away from there BACK IN JANUARY AND CANCELLED, and are still randomly being charged the membership fee. WE'RE NO LONGER MEMBERS!! We aren't under any contract with them! PREDATORY THEFT is what that is!! STAY AWAY!!! HORRIBLE INDUSTRY!
ADDING AFTER A RESPONSE: I shouldnât have to contact anyone else about cancelling! Thatâs absolutely absurd! WEâVE ALREADY CANCELED AND IT WAS CONFIRMED! How many times does it take?! So youâre saying I have to take action then??!!! To blame it on a service their company uses is equally ridiculous. Iâve heard from others that this is a common thing with their company; not shocked by that as it seems completely intentional; I guess some people donât notice money stolen from their bank accounts months later and then again?!
On top of that I had a mega increase in spam calls after sharing my (now previous) phone number with their company! â STAY AWAY PEOPLE!! â Horrible Company with Ridiculous Excuses for their Predatory Actions, and then saying YOU need to call them even though youâve done everything you were supposed to to cancel!! So how many times does it actually take to cancel then? How many monthsâŚyears will it take?!
I will update this review every time they attempt new charges for this long-ago cancelled membership. I will also most definitely update (and dispute this falsehood) if it lands on my credit report (as reported by another client of theirs who had the exact same issue with their company as I'm currently...
