Drivers beware. Their big sign up front says "Retail Self-Park" but their rates were anything but suitable for shoppers visiting nearby retail stores. They charged me and lots of other upset drivers $40 (regardless of duration of parking, even for a few minutes, in my case it was 3 hours for which their rate shoulda been $10) on Saturday afternoon of April 19. How? They removed the displayed rates up front and disabled their pay stations. Once you enter the lane to get your ticket (cannot reverse there even if you notice this sign) they have a leaflet saying "Event Parking, $40 full day" and "No hourly parking available." This is on the barrier pillar where you are likely to miss it because you are focused on pushing the button to get your ticket. No staff at hand to ask questions. The event starts at 4pm, but you pay $40 even if you park right from the start and leave hours before this time. I have filed complaints to the town authorities (via their police dept. and NJ Consumer Affair Dept. - don't know if anything will come of these. But there are many other garages and even free 2 hours street parking all around, so you may like to give this business a...
Read moreIn general, this garage is not bad however there are several issues: 1) there is only ONE machine to process the payments by the exit. NOT enough. Also, sometimes it rejects your credit card multiple (4-7 times) before taking the payment. Super annoying especially when there are people waiting behind you waiting to pay. There should be more machines added and modernized. 2) Lately, I do not feel safe coming there to pick up my car. There was a homeless man yesterday pushing his cart walking around in the garage. While I respect homeless people and feel for them, in light of recent constant really bad news around stabbings and violence this needs to be addressed. 3) In the summer, there were groups of kids riding their skateboards etc right by the exit where cars are coming - super dangerous. In other words, like it or not you guys need to add at least 1 permanent security person there to watch what's going on in your garage/on your...
Read moreWe always park here when taking the ferry into NYC. This past weekend, 10.11.25, the operating company gouged every customer by charging an "Event Fee" of $40 no matter the duration of your parking (Comic-Con @ Javits Center). In this day and age how does something this blatant get authorized? We entered at 6pm, which was 1 hour prior to that event closing for the day. We were not interested in the Event! Just a bad...
