Purchased and picked up a pair of custom elephant boots from them in April/May 2024. Right boot didn’t feel correct the day I walked out. Figured it needed breaking in. Fast forward a few uses and 5 months. I take the boots back in September and ask for them to fix whatever is wrong with the right heel and sole. It is slightly more elevated than the left boot, and there is a weird hump in it. I picked the boots up December 12 after not receiving any calls or updates. They said they fixed the boots, and it’s quite obvious they didn’t do a single thing to them. Nada, absolutely nothing! I humored them and walked out with my boots. No use in arguing or engaging with someone that #1 thinks you’re stupid and #2 doesn’t want to make things right.

I own 10 other pair of boots, so it’s no big deal, but I’ll never go back in there. Time to take the boots Moran’s made to one of the real boot makers in RGV and see if they’ll...

Poor salesmanship from the young know-it-all. Maybe he wanted me to spend more on custom boots, but wouldn't help me with MX to US size conversion of the in-stock, ready-made boots, or tell me if they are all the same brand, if some run smaller than others of the same size, etc. He only grabbed one pair for me to try and told me they fit perfectly (he knows!), and that I am just too used to wearing big, sloppy tennis shoes. This is an excellent leather-works shop in the Mid-Valley. My reason for returning regularly to their business is invariably for boot repair. They are very skilled in the replacement of boot soles and heels for a variety of boot types. They also have quite a collection of boots for sale.
