I am updating this review with my latest experience and honestly I hate to write negative reviews. If I write a negative review I feel compelled to check back and see if there is any improvement or changes. I have been there a couple of times after my negative review and had much much better experience. I hope it is not because I have been lucky to have good sales people. So yes, we will definitely keep coming back. I think this is good and want to think this positive experience is because they care for their customer base.
Old review--- Lack of courtesy to customers. My family has been going there for years. Much less now than initially. My wife bakes cakes and she only goes there if it is absolutely necessary. Keep in mind that this store has an online store and their online operations is entirely separate. My review refers to the brick and mortar establishment only and you may see very positive reviews based on the online experience. No doubt that this store has been in business for a while. When you go there, don't expect to be greeted and if you have a question you might get an answer depending on the mood of the salesperson there. The salespeople there almost feel like they inherited the job from mom and pop and they don't want to be...
Read moreThis place is great for bakers! They have a giant selection of big, metal cookie cutters for only $1.50. And all occasions/seasons - Halloween, Christmas, Easter, shamrocks, fall, baby-themed, animals, states, shapes. I even got a great set of beverage glasses (margarita, martini, champagne, wine glass, beer glass, beer bottle), a llama and a bunch of other great shapes. They also sell the smaller metal cutters and a few really big ones along with the plastic sets to cover most major holidays.
They also have a huge selection of decorations - plastic toppers, edible decorations, sprinkles, colored sugars and candy melts. There is also an extracts section with large sizes and even smaller drams of just about every flavor you can imagine. Plus cake decorating supplies like pans, cake rounds, cake plates, pastry bags, cupcake liners and a ton of other things I'm probably forgetting.
It's not a giant warehouse but it's got enough in it where you can probably find what you need for most home baking projects.
It's a very unassuming store front and it's easy to drive by without knowing what it is but if you are a baker or candy maker, you should really check this place out. Prices are comparable and often lower than buying online or...
Read moreI was searching for a Wilton shamrock cookie cutter online. The bidding was up to $10, that wasn't for me. I knew I could go to Cook's and find what I needed. Parking was totally available in the back. Greeted by a employee, who was with a customer, when I walked in. SO MANY THINGS TO LOOK AT! I thought everthing was very affordable. From candy forms to meringue powder. They even have sleeves of Nutella if you're looking for it. Not only did I find a Wilton shamrock cutter, for $4, I bought two more for later in the year. Good selection of sprinkles and sugars, for any holiday or even a Packer football game. Always find what I'm looking for, and the counter person knows where everything is in the store. HUGE selection of metal cutters in every form. There is even a schedule of classes available if you want to learn something new. Thank you Cook's for...
