Returning customer after it's initial launch. Sadly, I'm never coming back due to the lack of customer service and lack luster food. The establishment has gone down hill since its opening. The buzz and the excitement has faded. This only means one thing, poor quality food and service.
This go around, I decided to go with a dry dish "Bang Bang Chicken with Rice." I made the assumption that it was spicy breaded chicken, similar to their Crispy Chicken Cutlet, however with spice. BOY WAS I WRONG! It was COLD chicken with Szechuan sauce. It wasn't what I was expecting, which was when I asked if I may exchange the dish for the Chicken Cutlet with rice. They stated no. I was disappointed that they did not make any effort nor cared on making their customers happy. Unfortunately, I tried the dish and couldn't continue. I asked for a carry out box and left (potentially re-heating the food with different spices at home to recover the dish). Yes, I understand that this is an authentic Chinese dish, however, it was one that I am unfamiliar with and couldn't tell from the name "Bang Bang Chicken with Rice."
Just SHEER disappointment with their lack of empathy. Their unwillingness to exchange a dish that costed a couple bucks to make their customer happy with the potential of them returning in the future with other family...
Read moreStopped by here for lunch on Saturday and it was packed. The place is order at front and find your own seating. They'll bring up your food when it's ready.
I had the kimchi flavored bowl. And one of my guests had a beef rib bowl. We both liked the food. The flavors are fairly authentic. Not too strong like what some people might be used to. But definitely tastes like what you'd make at home. The serving portions were on the lower side. We all left still hungry for more food within a few minutes.
I'd still go back and try other dishes. It was too crowded when we were there to fully enjoy the meal. Since it's seat yourself, we felt like we should eat faster to make room for other guests. Not a good place for a date or intimate setting. Would be good for a quick bite or something...
Read moreThe spicy clams and marinated eggs good appetizers, the spring rolls were mushy on the inside. There was a general lack of appropriate silverware. No seafood forks for the clams, picked off with my fingers. No knife to cut the egg to share. Ordered the original beef bone broth. Came in a piping hot cauldron. No knife to get the beef off the bone or cut up. I was disappointed with the soup broth: it had a white aspect, no beef taste. There were interesting ingredients throughout but menu lacks details so you don't know what you're eating. Companions liked tom yum but not shell on shrimp, brisket, udon with shrimp. No alcohol. Server lax on bringing tableware and right amount of go boxes. Order at counter, food...
