I'm thrilled to share my exceptional experience at Healthy Zu Spa in Chicago, a true gem that I'm lucky to have discovered while working in the area. This spa has become my go-to spot for relaxation and rejuvenation after a long day.

I've been a patron of Healthy Zu Spa for years now, and I can confidently say that I've never received a bad massage from them. Every session has been consistently exceptional, and I've never had the same massage therapist twice), which is a testament to the variety of talented therapists on staff.

The quality of service, the relaxing ambiance, and the skilled therapists all contribute to an outstanding experience that keeps me coming back time and time again. I've recommended Healthy Zu Spa to multiple friends and colleagues, and each and every one of them has come back with rave reviews.

I started going to this place 7 years ago and between 2016 - 2019 used to tell my friends and family that this place was a hidden gem in Chicago. This place used to offer high quality massages (better than most massage envy’s, etc) for almost nothing. The expected tip was higher than traditional places, but it was always worth the quality of massage, service, and professionalism.

After 2020, the quality of this place tanked horribly. After my first bad experience in 2021, I still went 5 more times across 2021 - 2023, giving them the benefit of the doubt because I know a lot of these places dropped staff and started using more independent massuse contractors post covid.

The quality of massages and service level got progressively worse each time, while the price of the 60 min massages nearly doubled from $29 to $50. I only just observed over my last two massages that they completely screw you on time. I had never noticed in the past because I had always done the 60 min massages. After my “30 min” foot massage today… never again.

For whoever still wants to go to this place…. Your massage starts when they start filling up the bucket of water to soak your feet before the massage. For me, the person did this, went in back and audibly chatted with her colleagues for 5 minutes, started my massage at 1:52 pm and ended at 2:15pm sharp.

Although $50 for a 60 min massage seems cheap compared to traditional places, healthy zu expects 35-45% tips for their low cost massages, so might as well just go back to traditional massage places that offer consistent quality and professionalism.

I’ve been to many spas. This was a great experience right from the beginning! I called day of and made an appointment for 2 of us for a few hours later. We arrived about 15 min early they took us right away. We both got the 90 min foot reflexology and back massage combo. I just wore a tank top and leggings. You do not have to undress , they cover you with nice warm towels and although you are in a room with several tables next to each other it feels sort of private. They do converse with each other during the massge but it’s not loud. They play nice music. They did not ask for payment ahead of time like others mentioned. At the end I paid in cash and they have a tip sign with some emojis and amounts. I tipped $30 for each of us .. I felt the massage was worth it ! They do your neck and back, arms , shoulders and hands. Then they do the reflexology foot massge for an hour then go back and do more on your neck and back. Nice pressure ! Loved it !
