Desingated a "Great Public Space" by the American Planning Association, Union Station is the third busiest in the US, behind Grand Central and Penn Stations in NYC with over 3.3 million passengers per year. Built in 1925, Its combination of massive Limestone facades, Corinthian columns and sparkling marble floors, are showcased in its spectacular Great Hall. Chicago Station is laid out with a double stub-end configuration, with 10 tracks coming into the station from the north and 14 from the south.

I think it’s crazy to allow people to rent the BUS STATION for a wedding when people need to travel. Especially on a weekend in August. This is very dystopian. There are people who now cannot hear directions, have to carry heavy bags and can’t sit down and people who are overall confused. They put signs up without clear instructions. It is beautiful though and I like how the architecture is preserved. I just wish I could see the actual hall 🙃

Union station has some of the most beautiful architecture in the United States for a train station. It is however quite dated and could use renovations. It’s more complicated to find your train rather than most other train stations in the world so I’d recommend arriving 35 minutes early before departure. The location has a good location within the city of Chicago. 8.4/10 I’d recommend.

Worst ride ever. Heading back home from a birthday celebration, when i am greeted by rude employees at 6.40 am. Maricopia to Chicago. I would never have thought that people really are cruel and have no kindness and compassion. I asked the attendee(Lady) if they could turn the air down be cause it was cold, then I asked if i could move to another seat since the train wasn't filled up as of yet. She told me No and proceeded to inform her co-workers that me and a fellow passenger I was seated to were being rudely aggressive when it was them being rudely aggressive. I work in customer service and I know how difficult customers can get, that is why i go the extra mile to being friendly and patient when I'm the customer being waited on. I also know we can have a bad day. I asked for help several times to locate my luggage and the workers at Union Station gave me the run around. I finally spoke to Ms. Brenda a baggage claim REGULAR worker and she gave me the phone number to call then describe the luggage and leave your number. I haven't received a call yet and I've called several times and still calling. GOOD Public Service...

The station is filthy, there are beggars everywhere asking for $, customer service was terrible! Lady at 1st waiting room wouldn't let us sit there because just 4 elderly and people with kids. Politely pointed out have been here numerous times and just 5 days ago. They let everyone sit in waiting area and let elderly & people with children board 1st but at least we could hear announcements. She rudely told me " no they didnt?!! YES..the have. Every time. People were furious and made to sit on concrete floors along train station hall ways. The employees name is Janet. Very disgusted and horrible ending...
