INTEGRITY. Dropped by with a watch that was not operating/working. Presumed that a battery replacement was in order. A gentleman by the name of Harry offered me assistance. Harry actually gave me a quick lesson on how my watch operated. Evidently the "kinetic" portion of the watch, meant that "movement (ie the watch swinging back and forth, while wearing ) was necessary, to essentially keep the "capacitor(I believe that's the name of the internal part)" charged. Sounded to me like a car alternator, keeping charge on a car's battery. Harry described possessing a (watch) charger, specifically intended for my type of watch. Harry gave me no guarantees, but offered to attempt to recharge the watch. Came back about an hour later, since I was pressed for time. Watch was working. However, Harry was quick to point out, that the watch needed to be worn (regularly) and how the charge may be "weak". Furthermore, Harry described how if the "capacitor" required replacement (as they can go bad), that a replacement would be pricey (about $129-$200). Harry was honest enough to point out, how that may not be the most cost effective strategy for my particular watch. Harry was informative, knowledgeable, and honest; ie INTEGRITY. Oh, and the fee Harry imposed for the quick charging of my watch:...
Read moreGood customer service. I have been going to this shop for my battery replacement for the last 15 years. Based on the trust I had from my past experience, I went to this same shop for my two watches. The guy looked like the son, and he charged me for 95 dollars for two watches. I had been other shops for my Swiss move watches before, and they had never charged me more than non Swiss made watches for battery replacement. I didn't do my research and shop around this time, so I went ahead and paid for it. Later, I felt that it was expensive so I started to read other customer's reviews on this shop. I saw other customers had the same concerns and the owner responded to it. Therefore, I decided to give it a try. When I texted to the phone number they provided, I got a rapid response. I voiced my concerns and disappointment. They quickly offered me a compensation or refund, so I took the refund on a very reasonable manner. I believe that they do provide a quality service. If you have questions about the price and charge, please feel free to ask them. I do believe that they provide a good customer service as well. I will certainly return to this shop for my future battery replacement needs. Come out...
Read moreCame in yesterday with my brand new Yesah Owl collection watch (a wooden watch) that my sister bought me for Christmas. I needed to have the watch fitted so that I can wear it without it sliding off my wrist.
Walked in and asked how much it would cost for a refitting. $15. Ok that's a bit steep but I didn't really care.
The problem came when the guy who does the link removal told me that the last time he refitted a wooden watch he broke it and had to repay the owner. Ok now I was incredibly nervous. He asked if I wanted to "risk it" by allowing him to remove the links of my watch. I said sure. But now I was sweating bullets and hoping I had made a good decision.
I came back to the store a little later and was told that they could not refit my watch because the links were too wide and could not fit into their "refitting tool" or something. Now at this point I was incredibly annoyed but also slightly relieved that my watch hadn't been destroyed in the process.
I was told to go somewhere else to get what I needed. And so I did. Suffice to say, I don't have a lot of confidence in this store after this experience of mine. That's...
