I love HomeGood in general! However, this specific location has a lot to be desired. Today, it took me 20 minutes to check out - I was the second in line. The store wasn’t very busy. There were several employees, but only one cashier, which would normally be fine, except she moved at a glacial pace. On top of that, she just walked away abruptly and went outside while checking out the person before me - she waved and yelled to someone twice and then came back inside (odd?). She came back in and continued checking someone out but then walked away, tried to find another employee, came back, and then called them on the intercom when she couldn’t find them. I thought she might be calling for another cashier (I had 3 items while the other people in front of me had carts full), and I had waited 15 + minutes at this point. She instead waited for the other employee to come up and then sent her to price quote an item elsewhere in the store. The cashier just stood there while she was going that, which took a couple mins. After they checked out the people in front of me together, the one came over to me to ring me up (no apologies for the wait when I was visibly annoyed). This whole ordeal took a lot of time, and could have been easily avoided if the employees used time management and critical thinking skills. The music was also blaring at a bar-level volume, which doesn’t help when you’re trying to relax and shop at the...
Read moreFirst time shopping at this store and possibly the last. Your employees need a major attitude adjustment. They're not "special" just because they work in Jordan Creek because you aren't the only ones. I came in to see your store since my mother bragged so awesomely about it. Yes, you have great stuff, but you're a glorified T.J. Maxx at best tbh. When I came in your store your employees looked at me like I was POOR. FYI, but I make good money and I have money but your blonde employee with the 2 inches of makeup talked down to me when we did a price check. I was fn tired that day, but visiting your store was going to be my highlight because it was fresh and new and I just wanted to see it after my mother couldn't stop talking about it. Another thing--just because people dress ruddily (I came in my restaurant uniform), doesn't mean they don't have money. Adjust the attitude because working in Jordan Creek doesn't give you any kind of 'privelege' over everyone else. I spoke to the mgr who was willing to "make it right" and I appreciate her effort, but declined because it won't change a bad attitude. Maybe I might come...
Read moreI like this store but limit my visits to a couple a year unless I’m looking for something in particular. Recently I’ve noticed an abundance of items, so much so it feels like too much for the size of the store and products sitting on carts with no place to go. The clearance section really should be a half off of more section because 9x out of 10 the items are broken beyond use or repair and should really just be thrown away. Good finds for decent prices. I wish some of the art and mirrors weren’t $150 + because the quality really isn’t worth that. Some of the furniture is decent but others are poor quality for high prices. If anything it’s more for gifty items and decor that you won’t feel guilty for donating or reselling in a couple years when you want to change a theme. The Ames store is a much better size with more selection! They have Jim Shore now! Seems more expensive than online though and I saw one that wasn’t in the locked cabinet that was broken in 3 places and was only discounted $5. I should have...
