My experience at Men's wearhouse was nothing but dreadful. I walked in with my boyfriend in hopes of finding a pink vest for my prom. Walking into the store we noticed some workers in the back, but nobody seemed to acknowledge that we walked in nor ask if we were in need of assistance. So, my date and I awkwardly made our way through the store to find vests. Once we made it to the vests, we skimmed through them to find a light pink one. Once we found the vest, we were confused on what to do next, since there was only one vest and we weren't sure how the rental process worked. Yet, all of the workers failed to help us or give us any attention. Workers even walked right by us avoiding any eye contact. They did not greet us in any form, and we felt very unwelcome and unwanted. We waited for 5 minutes by the vests hoping someone would come up and speak to us and help. Again, no one spoke to us what so ever. There was even a worker who was standing right next to us, organizing ties, who looked like he was just distracting himself so he wouldn't have to talk to us. So my boyfriend had to get his attention in order for him to speak to us. My boyfriend asked " Are we allowed to rent vests?" And he gave us a short and quick answer, "yes" then moved along. He failed to offer any assistance, ask us any questions, or help with our purchase. So we grabbed the vest and moved over to the cashier. While waiting in line the cashier rudely instructed us to fill out a rental form, avoiding eye contact and handing us the paper quickly going through what we need to fill out. When we got to the front of the line he took our form and quickly typed in everything. He didn't ask us if we had any questions , or if we've been helped. He took a minute to enter everything into the computer. Once he entered it all he told us the total was $58.30. We didn't expect the rental to be that pricey for a single vest. He never once mentioned how much the vest would cost, and there was no obvious sign of a price tag on the vest. All the cashier said was that he had to order the vest from Texas, and vaguely explained why it costed so much. My boyfriend payed for it because we felt in an awkward position to cancel the order, since he already typed in all of the information. The service was the worst service I have ever experienced. When we called to cancel our order, they refunded us $38.50 and refused to refund $20, even though we called back first thing in the morning the next day. Although they gave us a refund, and we payed with credit card, we have to go out of our way to come in to receive the...
Read moreSaturday July 14th, 2018 my fiancé, step-son, the best man & myself (bride) went to the Valley West Location at 3pm. (Mind you we HAD an appointment as that's what the website directed us to do). We walked in and immediately were approached which was nice, but it went all downhill from there... my fiancé stated he had an appointment to get fitted for wedding rentals and the associate immediately directed us to the rental corner of the store. So we made our way over there and waited, and waited, and waited. We started browsing the selection of rental products they had when finally the first guy came back up to us and asked if we had been helped. We told him no so he started asking us what we were looking for, colors, and so on.... I told him we were there to get fitted for rentals and to get QUOTES on prices, I told him we were directed to Men's Wearhouse by David's Bridal cause that's where my bridesmaids WILL BE getting their dresses and that we were told they carried the same colors. He then caught on that my bridesmaids haven't purchased their dresses yet and started in on some b.s. about how we should not worry about the men's attire until the dresses are bought because colors and plans "ALWAYS" change once the bridesmaids get their dresses. I told him, that was false, just because they haven't purchased them yet they will be without a doubt "horizon" blue. He then said he was going to fill in the rental worker with the info we had given him and walked away. Briefly another guy came and gave us a half-assed idea of what they could offer for what I am wanting. They spent more time cutting down my color choices and plans than they did helping us. Then he walked away, never to return again. We stood there for another 20 minutes or more assuming the guys would get measured so we could get quotes LIKE WE SAID WAS THE REASON WE WERE THERE. After 45minutes of no help whatsoever (mind you there was MAYBE 4 customers and double that in workers so it's not like they were busy) we walked out. Walking right past at least 3 workers, and they didn't say one word to us. That place is a joke, to say the least. "You're gonna like the way you look, I guarantee it" may be their motto but you'll like the way you look because their deplorable customer service will drive you to find a better place....
Read moreWe ordered my wife’s suit from Florida and traveled to Iowa for our wedding. The people at men’s warehouse in Florida were AMAZING! And they worked with us and traveling! We set up a late drop off due to travel. Mind you the closest mens warehouse to where we were getting married was over 3 hours away. The people helping us in Florida were completely understanding and willing to work with what worked best for us. We get to men’s warehouse in west Des Moines Iowa and the male manager was completely rude and making comments about the people of Florida not doing things correctly. Because my wife’s shirt was the wrong size. So he was making comments about if you want free things just order from Florida and you’ll get it for free. Making my wife feel like absolute garbage for something that was not in her control. We called the day prior to extend our drop off because we had car issues and left a day later than originally planned. Mind you were driving back to Florida. A 24 hour drive! And we still had a 3 hour drive to even drop Of the suit. The person she spoke to another male was completely rude. Stated that we should have had the suit back the day after the wedding. We let him know our paper work has it stated that drop off was on Monday and not sunday. He then stated “okay, whatever I guess that’s fine” and then he hung up. Never explained that we would have a late fee. Which is fine. But he could have been more understanding and just explained what would happen with it being a day later than our paper work. We will never be working with mens warehouse in west Des Moines again. Absolutely the worst behavior we have ever experienced. Specially when this was for the greatest moment of our lives. Do not recommend. Your employees need more training and need to learn customer service. Very...
