If I could rate it as 0 stars, I absolutely would. Donāt waste your time here. Smiths, Kroger, intermountain, and university of Utah pharmacies have all given me such a better experience especially over the last year.
To clarify I have gone to this Walgreens for years now, even when I moved 30 minutes away I was very adamant about going to this location even when my boyfriend told me to go somewhere closer. All I would get was birth control at the time and occasionally a pick-up for something from the ER. I never minded the wait, I work in customer service and understand being short-staffed, and I never had to talk more to verify my prescriptions and I was out quickly. That was UNTIL I got diagnosed with disorders that required medication monthly.
Every single prescription I have attempted to get from Walgreens since then has had some sort of issue. The prices are terrible, the pharmacists seem incompetent every single time Iāve spoken to them, and are quite honestly some of the least helpful āprofessionalsā Iāve met. They have refused to give me a prescription that my doctor AND insurance approved, just because itās a scheduled substance. My approval was sent in 3 times and they never even attempted to fill it. I had to call multiple times, with long wait times, then call my insurance and doctor to clarify it was approved, then call them back AGAIN and wait even longer. I sent it to Smiths and it was sent through IMMEDIATELY and I picked it up a day later.
They also COMPLETELY disregard my privacy by making me say my prescription or theyāll say it out loud in front of others. Complete violation of privacy, which you think wouldnāt be a problem in the medical field ā¦???!
Iāll get notified that I have a prescription ready, and then the pharmacist will tell me itās not or tell me itās at a different location when the app has told me otherwise even if I have pictures to prove that otherwise.
Additionally, Iāve never had any medication from any pharmacy that has taken even half the time walgreens takes to prepare my prescription. Then factor in the fact that the constant mistakes have made me take several days to pick up my meds THAT I NEED, so I would never dream of telling anyone to suffer through the horrible experience of the Walgreens pharmacy, especially when you could go to KROGER, SMITHS, INTERMOUNTAIN, or university of Utah and actually get assistance and have a simple time getting medication...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe worst managed store Iāve ever encountered. Even with giving this store another chance it still proves to not understand how to respond or return calls to customers. Really should be 0 stars.
Iām a type 1 diabetic that has been receiving medication through this store over the past 3 years. Beginning of January, I needed to order Dexcom pods for my insulin delivery. They said they had a partial fill and that I would be able to pick up the 2nd box the next time I was in. Great I thought, how convenient! I returned on the 12th to pick up the 2nd portion of the prescription and they said they could not fulfill that because I was too late to pick up the 2nd portion. I totally understand that after the fact it was explained that the insurance company only allows a certain amount of days for partial pickups. My issue is that I was never told prior to picking up about a specific time frame and then the pharmacy checkout associate told me I can pay $50 for 1 box or just not pick it up. That makes zero sense, I always pay $50 for 2 boxes.
Needless to say after that interaction I entered a corporate pharmacy complaint and then called back a week later as I didnāt hear back from that and the corporate office said they would reach out in 2-3 business days. The same pharmacy associate answered and again was rude on the phone saying that she saw the complaint and they closed it due to the insurance date information. Apparently the store manager/district manager decided to cancel/close the complain WITHOUT notifying us about what was happening. She then told me I had a prescription ready to pick up which is not showing on the app and then kept telling me itās there without any resolution. Finally got to transfer to talk to a store manager. Store manager seemed helpful and said he would follow up with me that day as he was going to reach out to the district manager. Still waiting to hear back from management.
This has not happened at several other Walgreens pharmacies across the nation over the 10+ years of my diagnosis. But this store just simply does not care, over...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust wanna start off by saying that my wife just had a very serious surgery. My wife asked me to run to this location to grab her a few things to help her quality of health. We have a two-year-old pitbull that we rescued, he is a really good boy but sometimes he can be a little bit wild. I couldnāt leave him home with my wife because she just had surgery and is unable to tend to his needs. I came to this location, I unrolled all four windows at least 5 inches, I opened my sunroof, I left my car on with the AC blasting. I was only inside for a total of six minutes. It was hot outside but I took every necessary precautions so that my dog would be OK. I had a very rude and unprofessional woman come up to me and ask me if I left my dog in the car. I responded yes. She scarfed at me and was extremely disrespectful telling me what I was doing was illegal. She told me I shouldāve brought them inside. Little does she know that he is a rescue and does not do well around other people and I am truly doing my best for my dog and my family. She was extremely rude and turned what couldāve been an easy conversation into a hostile environment inside a store. If something is being done that she thought was illegal she shouldāve called the police. I would recommend that you go to any other Walgreens Except this one. My wife and I spend around $500 a month at this location. Not anymore. This woman needs a serious check on her attitude because that is not how you treat people. My wife and I are going through one of the hardest times of our entire marriage, and the last thing we need is to have somebody be disrespectful and treat us like we do not take care of our dog at a store that we spend a ton of money at. I will be calling the store and filing a complaint. Thanks...
