We bought a bed set at Modani a delivered four weeks later. The bed showed up with scratches all over the bed. And it showed up without screws to even put the bed together. I called to let them know, and they said that this was the last existing model of this bed, and it cannot be replaced. I also bought furniture to match this bed set, which all had to be returned. Just moving into a new house. We slept on the floor. We went back to buy another bed set, we got nothing but an apology, we got no compensation on the next bedside even though we went back to them after the terrible experience. Two weeks later, I received an email that the exact bed set that I bought was now $200 less than what I paid for. I called to see if I can get reimbursed for the $200 because of the advertisement. They said I had to call the Fort Lauderdale office where the manager was, after four calls and no return phone call I just simply gave up. If you want a totally un-empathetic and uncaring experience, than go to this company for furniture. They do not care about you only your money. No wonder no one is in the store, no wonder no one has ever heard of them, the customer service is the absolute worst. I would go back and spend tons of money, but rather give anyone my business based on their poor customer service training, standards and real life experience. Read moreThe Worst Customer Support. Do not buy from this company. We bought over $12000.00 worth of furniture including a bed for our master bedroom. About a year later, we had to clean the floor and therefore, had to move the bed. The bed frame collapsed after the move. We removed the mattress to find out that the installers who Modani charged extra for installation had not installed the bedframe properly. It actually was missing three legs and bunch of hardware. Contacted Modani customer service several times and provided video evidence to the salesperson, Sarah Buttles who promised to contact their manager, James Brown and headquarters' customer support. We were finally contacted by a lady named Janice who claimed to be the customer manager at Modani headquarters. She said that since the bed was sold slightly over a year ago, they would not honor any warranty. I tried to explain to her that this was not a warranty claim, but rather a claim of missing major bedframe parts and improper installation. Also asked her if she had looked at the video which I sent to Sarah buttles which clearly showed the problem. She said no and was not even interested to look at it. All i wanted was the missing and damaged parts to fix it myself. I further asked her if I could contact higher management and she claimed that she is the highest management and refused to connect me to higher management. Read moreI purchased the warranty and later found out that it does not pertain to lights. The lights are only guaranteed for 7 days after purchase I was informed months later. They do not install the lights so by the time you find someone to install you may be out of your warranty.
I was offered a 40% credit for an inoperable light, I refused at first because I am out of a light. I requested the part for the light and they refused to give me the transformer.
I later spoke with my sales person who explained the light warranty to me and I agreed to take the 40% credit. I waited 3 months for an item that was $250 and they wanted me to pay $150 for delivery!
While waiting to get approval to pick up the $250 table I was told now my store credit was dropped down to 27% instead of 40% because I took to long to accept the offer!!
I furnished my entire home with Modani and it comes down to a $65 difference that they refuse to give me due to timing!
I asked Gary in customer service to speak with his supervisor and he informed me that they do not talk on the phone!
I am very disappointed with the customer service department. Most companies are helpful and want to do everything to keep you coming back. I did not ask for anything...
