Love this place and the food. I’ve been coming here for 3 years and it’s my favorite falafel and meat free gyros in the area.
I ordered my usual today for lunch but my Gyro was cooked a bit differently and my salad dressing was missing. No big deal, I love the food so I called and asked if I could come back. They were nice about it on the phone as always.
When I got there, the Latin man in the front was kind but the Latin lady made many disrespectful and demeaning remarks in Spanish not knowing I spoke Spanish. She made comments like- …make sure she brought the gyro insinuating I was trying to get free food. …once the front guy came to grab the gyro I brought back she then made comments about checking to make sure there was something in there. …she then proceeded to make more disrespectful comments about me not knowing anything or how it’s cooked. … as I was leaving at the door I heard her make another comment about me although she knew I spoke Spanish.
She initially didn’t know I spoke Spanish as I don’t look like I do. I felt extremely uncomfortable and ended up speaking up in Spanish. By her 3rd remark— I encouraged her to open the container and check that I brought the entire gyro back. I did not eat it as it was not made in the way that I am used to. She checked and then proceeded to throw it out and contradicted/disregarded my experience.
I’m leaving this review to encourage management to speak to their staff and train them on customer service. In hopes that others don’t have the same experience or I don’t encounter this again.
This is South Florida, I’m sure many customers speak Spanish and it’s extremely inappropriate to be speaking ill of customers right in front of them no matter the language...
Read moreI ordered a Greek salad from this restaurant. Once I got to my office, I settled down to enjoy my meal. However, when I opened the salad, I discovered a strand of hair on top of the food. I immediately called the restaurant to report the issue. The young woman I spoke with informed me that there were no women working in the kitchen. I explained that the gender of the staff was irrelevant; my concern was the hair I found in my meal. She placed me on hold, and shortly after, a man who identified himself as either the owner or manager took over the call. I recounted my experience, and he responded that he couldn't determine if the hair was indeed in the salad unless he had it in front of him before leaving the restaurant. Then, he proceeded to tell me it could be spice. I pointed out that anyone could easily distinguish between hair and other ingredients. He then with arrogance and attitude in his voice. He stated there was nothing he would do about the situation. This response made me feel as though he was indifferent to my complaint about finding hair in my food. Since my order was prep and bagged by the young male cashier, with extended hair length. It would be impossible for me to notice the hair through the plastic and container. I have never felt so disgusted and appalled. I will no longer patronize this establishment. I advise anyone considering ordering food from here to ensure that the staff handling their meals is wearing hairnets. As well as cashiers that move from the register and make your food. Beware. This is simply...
Read moreUNSANITARY!!!!! I walked into their establishment around 1:45 pm today and noticed the older Gentlemen, folding napkins and silverware, was eating with his hands while folding the napkins. That should have been the first red flag, but I decided to look past it and continue to walk to the counter to place an order. Upon placing my order, there was a lady in the expo area who opened two bags of cheese, stuck her hands inside and ate a handful of cheese and then passed it to the cook through the window. I immediately asked the gentleman at the cash register if she was going to wash her hands and why They would eat out of the bag of cheese. He expressed that the cheese was not for customers. It was for an employee meal that they were making. Then I watched a cook give the same lady a bowl of soup to try. Instead of using the spoon to try the soup, she dumped it into her hand and licked her hand. She of course, did not wash her hands. I told the gentleman at the register to please let the owner know about this experience and that I would not be eating here. I calmly left the establishment and the lady followed me outside to confront me. I could not believe how unprofessional and confrontational that was. I came to this establishment years ago on my way to the airport and I had such a great experience. I live in Port St. Lucie Florida and I happen to be in the area today and I couldn’t wait to come back to this restaurant as I remembered it years ago. It has definitely gone downhill and I would not recommend...
