Just save yourself the drive and order online. I use progressive leasing for large purchases and wasnāt aware that it was available for checkout online, which is awesome. But this store Iāve had issues with twice.
Once I was there to buy a Switch last year and they wouldnāt do the bundle they were promoting online because they were sold out even though it said in stock online at that store. Instead of helping me, they just shrugged and left. I believe the manager mocked me while I was leaving as well. I ended up going to the Wellington location where my salesperson put together a huge deal for me and price matched me on everything as well as gave me a free gift card that was a promotion at the time. Why didnāt WPB location help me on this?
Then this Christmas my boyfriend and I stepped into Best Buy ready to make a quick $1000 purchase. We were greeted right as we walked up to the Apple station, and this guy with blue hair kept checking on us throughout us looking at specs for products. We just had not made up our minds yet. We went around the store grabbing multiple things to match with our order (iPad case, AirPods, Apple Pencil, Folio, etc.) and came back to the station and patiently waited. The guy with blue hair was making a sale. Another guy rushed up to us and asked what we needed and before we could say iPad he just said āsold out, completely sold out at every store, unless you want to try Apple,ā then walked away. We put all our stuff down and went home. On the way home we googled if there was an iPad at another nearby Best Buy location and there was one at a store not too far away. We got home and just made the purchase online with 1 and 2 day shipping.
Bottom line, the only thing I can think of is that the employees donāt make commission so they donāt care about making sales. We have been turned away twice from this store. My boyfriend works retail and his normal practice would have been in the first situation to try to bundle something for the customer and the second situation to help us locate a nearby iPad or help get one ordered and shipped to us.
This industry wonāt last long. People go for the customer service experience. Soon youāll all just be replaced by online services and cut out stores completely. The era of customer service is dying, and Iām not sure who to blame... the corporations who donāt pay their employees enough to care or the employee who has no will to work. Rarely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a GREAT experience at the Best Buy in Boynton. I did not like this particular Best Buy on Palm Beach Lakes at all. Horrible experience. There were staff members speaking amongst each other next to the section where I was by the laptops and computers while I was waiting to be helped. All they did was speak to each other and occasionally look towards me. No one offered help. After about 5-7 minutes of waiting, I finally turned and started staring back. Then after another minute or so, someone came and offered help. When I purchased my laptop, I was never asked about giving my email address for the receipt to be emailed to me as they had done in Boynton. When I asked the sales associate about it, he said that he had to finish the transaction first before he could take down that information. I was never asked about purchasing a warranty for my new purchase as I was asked for at the Boynton location. I had to ask for a warranty and he acted like it was a hassle for me to even ask him for a warranty. I spent a lot of money, in my opinion, on this new laptop and would have thought with the amount of the purchase that I would've received better service. The service I received in Boynton from the time I spoke with the sales associate, before he knew how much money I was going to spend, until the end of my purchase was excellent. I'm not bragging about the amount of my purchase, nor do I feel as though I should have received better service because of the amount of money that I spent. It's just sad to see associates for a company like Best Buy to be so lax about their work ethic and the clientele of the business they work for that's paying their bills. And I guess now I see why I didn't see many people in this establishment as I had seen in the one in Boynton. Best Buy on Palm Beach Lakes, get with your employees and teach them how to BE employees and not just how to make a paycheck. I will NOT be going back to this store. I do, however, HIGHLY recommend that if you want a great experience at a Best Buy location, the on in Boynton Beach should...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never wanted to set foot in the store again. Iāve managed to do it for the last seven years because itās just another garbage Tech store. Itās been around for 20 years and CUSTOMER SERVICE has Iāve gotten actually worse! I have an iPhone and I have Apple plus care on it. Apple said they were an authorized Apple repair shop. I explained to Apple to the best of my ability that my phone has a hole in it but it definitely has a little cracks coming out of it when I finally got to the store and was helped, but a 25-year-old kid behind the counter, looked at it and started making weird faces. He didnāt say a word to me and took it to The back. He came out and said that they would not be fixing it because it was a hole and not a crack. I said if you look closely there are little cracks coming out of the hole, technically how can you put a hole into a phone without without cracking it doesnāt make sense so then I actually spoke and I said may I speak to the man thatās making the decision. He flat out refused. No explanations lean towards me in the counter and started giving me attitude. I usually Iām not this, but I was this night because I just gotten done working 12 hours and I was covered in dark from head to toe. Iām 6 foot, 200 pounds and geek because he was taller and bigger and fatter and his voice was louder than mine that he was going to make his point. The point is donāt bother to go in there save yourself to grief and if you ask to speak to a manager, which is a very reasonable request specially, when he is the one making the determination whether your phone gets fixed or not, you should be able to speak to him he was only 25 feet away behind a rubber curtain. The reason he did not come out is because I had a valid point the screen on my iPhone is damaged. According to Apple they will replace it. Thatās why you buy the extra care. Thatās why you pay the extra money, but it will be a cold day in hell when I would give these people my $1300 phone, when I canāt even get a manager to walk 25 feet and talk to me face-to-face you...
