Target — Local services in Westland

Only giving 3 stars based on my last experience. Every other time is usually enjoyable.

While looking on the target app on my cellphone for the westland store’s weekly catalog, it stated that the video game red dead 2 would be available Thursday October 25 at 9pm. So, being excited for this release, I am there at 8:45pm. I overhear a conversation between an employee and a customer talking about the game. The employee in my opinion is defensive and disgruntled. He was saying that “Target does not release games at night. Must be a typo. We are not GameStop. You should go to GameStop.” I show the employee the weekly catalog on my phone and he storms away radioing for someone else to come help us. The next employee is nice but also has no idea of this game release. She radios for someone to meet her at the lock box in the back. Turns out they only have the console bundle package with game included. I already have a PS4 so I didn’t need to spend the money on the bundle. I call up the Dearborn Heights Target location and they are fully aware of the release and had plenty of games in stock.

So I come to this location fairly often and normally I don't have any issues, BUT I am going to say.. DO NOT BUY MEAT FROM HERE! I purchased 2 pounds of beef, made meatballs, which were temping at 220°F, and there was still RAW beef in the middle. Im talking like enough to make me and my fiance have food poisoning... So I call this location to inform them that maybe something is wrong with the beef because this isn't the first time this has happened... and they couldn't care, all they wanted was for me to bring proof.. they literally wanted me to bring in the beef and show them... which is SO unsanitary, so I brought it up there and because I didn't have the original packaging with me (target circle has not been picking up my purchases, it picked up 1 of the 2 pounds I bought) or any other proof then I was lying and dismissed me.. I couldn't care less about my money back, all I was trying to do was inform them of a possible issue and they didn't take...

I was incredibly disappointed with my entire experience here today. Within moments of walking in I saw 6 people without masks enter the store even though they are now absolutely required in Michigan. No one was checking masks or monitoring entry at all despite Target saying they are monitoring entry. I understand that employees are not expected to force patrons to comply, but it wasn't even being monitored and any signage wasn't very visible.

The employees were masked, which I appreciate, and every employee I came across was respectful and friendly, but maintained proper distance. My complaint is not about the employees, but rather how the store is being managed at whatever level has control over this issue.

I know my shopping there doesn't matter, but I hope this review will help any immunocompromised or concerned people who might consider shopping there. I would not...
