Can be a little messy but there are people working on the floor everytime I go in trying their best to clean up constant messes left by shoppers who don't want to put things back or leave things on the floor so it's the best Burlington I've been to by far. When the lines get long they do call for backup help even if someones not trained to run register they'll have them bag. They have a decent men's big & tall selection, plus sized for women and juniors as well. Also great selection on mens shoes & mens sportswear. Great name brands like Guess, BeBe Nautica, Tommy Hilfiger, Levi, Calvin Kline, Michael Kors, Jordan, Nike, Gap, Jessica Simpson that you can find in Kids, Mens, & woman's wear if you really look. Huge baby selection as well not just clothes either cribs, diaper bags, car seats, strollers, bottles, sets & more. It's a HUGE STORE so if you have the time to shop, browse, and really look you will find what you need or an associate will try and help you if they can, never had a problem shopping here that an associate couldn't solve or try to solve. Last tip is if you see an item and want it get it then or put it in layaway.. don't wait because if you wait more than likely the item you want won't be there the next time you try and go back in for it. I love this store because there's literally something for...
Read moreUpdate: Visited store 2 months after original review. Store still trashy and feedback fell on deaf ears. This location is putting profit before safety. Noticable items blocking aisles or as tripping hazards. Fire Marshall will be made aware, due to safety concerns. Do not enter location with children, elderly, or anyone with a handicap.
Management needs to learn that if it doesn't fit on the shelves, don't stock it. If it doesn't fit in the back, don't order it. This would violate OSHA.
*Pictures by company are used on all Burlington location sites. Don't be fooled.
Ross Dress For Less is in the same plaza and a lot cleaner and organized. They sell similar goods at similar prices. They do close at 9:00pm compared to 11:00pm at Burlington.
Original Review: Trashed store with slow lines. Visited this location after visiting a Marshalls in Canton. Marshalls was clean, organized, and well staffed. Lines moved fast!
Burlington was a huge disappointment. This store is trashed. You can tell the customers and employees don't appreciate the store. Lots of items in wrong places. The aisle before checkout was filled with cologne and perfume, which is normal. There were other items mixed in, due to lines being long, and customers deciding not to purchase items. The aisle entering checkout was even worse. I didn't take pictures of these aisles, due to privacy of other customers.
There were 3 cashiers the evening I visited. There was mess after mess behind and next to the cashiers. One cashier gave up and began cleaning her station. This caused the line to come to a screeching halt.
The cashier that helped me was friendly and did what she could to keep the line moving.
This location is a fourth of the size of the ones found in and around Phoenix, AZ. They were for the most part always clean and organized. I enjoyed my visit to those locations, as well as several here, in Southeast Michigan. This location needs to be shut down and reorganized. While being reorganized, there needs to be complete training from the store manager on down. This is unacceptable to have a store in this shape. Looking forward to the canned message from someone who reads this. It will go on deaf ears, I assure you.
I can't recommend this location to my worst enemy. If you have time to drive to Canton, visit the Marshalls on Ford Road. You will be upset about the Westland Burlington and never go back.

Read moreI’m very upset from a call I got from my daughter who was shopping there with my granddaughter who has autism. The staff allowed a man to verbally attack my daughter and granddaughter because my granddaughter was getting inpatient with the long line. Where was security???? Why didn’t the cashier call for assistance? This could’ve went way left if my daughter would’ve called her father or her husband because she felt afraid for her and her daughter! Me nor my family will never shop there again!
To the man at Burlington in Westland,
So you felt it necessary to confront me about my 6-year-old daughter making too much noise? Yes, she’s autistic. I told you as much, and your audacity to then tell me that doesn’t give her the right to be an “a**hole” or excuse me from “controlling” her? Newsflash: she was just being a kid, enjoying a moment with a toy. The same kid who, moments before, was comforting a crying baby with more empathy than you showed.
It's evident that her verbal limitations didn't deter her from showing kindness to someone, and while she might be limited in words, her mama is not. I made that clear today, and I'll make it clear any day someone tries it with my child.
To the Burlington staff,
Your inaction spoke louder than any words could. A store should be a sanctuary for its patrons, not a battleground. Your passive stance was noted.
To the silent onlookers,
I saw each and every one of you. I hope the next time you witness ignorance and intolerance, you’ll remember the look on my daughter’s face and maybe, just maybe, find your voice.
To the rest of the world,
Please understand that children like mine are not misbehaving or seeking attention. They are simply trying to find their place in a world that's overwhelming. Their parents are doing their best, often running on little sleep and a lot of love. A smile, a kind word, or even just a moment of patience can mean the world to families like mine. Let’s be allies to one another, standing up against intolerance and ignorance, and making our community a more...
