I went to this location to do some holiday shopping, but when I sat around the tree opening presents, I discovered that two of the items I bought were defective. One was a pair of slippersāwhere the right slipper was a Small and the left slipper was an XLāand the other was a shawl with a tear in the arm. I also had a pair of boots I was considering, but after the issues with the other items, I decided to return them as well.
When I went to return the slippers, the cashier, Vanessa, was incredibly rude. She asked me three times why I wanted to return them, and each time I explained that they were mismatched sizes. Then, when I tried to return the boots, she refused, so I pointed out that the store had failed to properly quality check my purchases. Her response was dismissive, and in the end, I walked out with the boots.
Itās clear that ācustomer obsessionā and using good judgment are no longer priorities at Nordstrom Rack. The company failed to uphold its end by selling me subpar, defective items and then treating me poorly when I tried to return them. There are three points in the processālogistics, the shoe department, and the cashierāwhere these items should have been checked for quality, but they werenāt. Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis Rack does not excel in customer service. Bought a pair of Merrell gym shoes for $79.97 and found they were too tight. I was not aware that they have a 30 day return policy and 60 days for store credit. Naturally mine was past those dates and they refused to take them back. After contacting Nordstrom, I found that each store has their own policy and it's to their discretion, so they told me to try another store. Seriously! This store could have accepted these never worn shoes with the tags still on, put them on the shelf and sold them within days. Instead they chose to lose a customer which seems to be the norm today. Shop at a store that values their customers. This isn't one of them!!
Update 6/25/2024 Spoke to a manager at another Nordstrom Rack and they gladly accepted the return and gave me a store credit. I will shop at this store in the future. Tasha- I did call Nordstrom Rack. Sometimes itās worth listening to a customer instead of just standing there saying, no, no and no. Going the extra mile for a customer pays off in the end. In Colorado after evacuating the fires in LA I went to Nordstrom Rack to gather a few things I could wear for business while in town (I'm a real estate agent in both states) and in my hurry a beautiful silver and emerald ring that was a family gift fell from my hand. I had been to over 6 locations that morning since I remembered seeing it and called them all in a panic during showings. I had hoped with all my might it wasn't at Nordstrom Rack because I thought there was no possible way it could be recovered if that were the case.
Not only did the staff take the time to FIND MY RING in their enormous store but they treated me with such respect and care. They kept it in the safe for me and were so happy for me that I found it. I'm incredibly grateful to the amazing staff at this location, especially in such a trying time. ...
