DXL - Champions of Service, Style, and True Customer Care
I needed to do some shopping for a trip to Greece and, as a bigger guy (6’0”, recently down to 304 lbs from 365 lbs six months ago), I was feeling great about my fitness journey and ready to invest in new clothes. After trying several well-known brands - Express, Polo Ralph Lauren, Johnston & Murphy, Banana Republic, Under Armour, Nike - I quickly learned the reality: many of them don’t carry sizes in store for healthy people like me. Disappointed but not surprised, I walked into DXL for the very first time - and I am so glad I did.
From the start, I was greeted by Ms. Christina Garcia, who was an absolute rock star. Friendly, energetic, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in my needs, she basically became my personal shopper. She asked the right questions, helped me articulate what I wanted (even when I couldn’t find the words), and introduced me to items I didn’t even know I needed. She explained why one piece worked better than another, showed how items complemented each other, and tailored everything toward my upcoming Greece trip - keeping me both comfortable and stylish for the weather and environment.
When Christina’s shift ended, she handed me off seamlessly to Mr. Danny Whitaker, who picked up right where she left off. He was fully briefed, attentive, and just as invested in making sure I left happy. Together, Christina and Danny made me feel heard, valued, and appreciated every step of the way. Even when certain items weren’t in stock, they went out of their way to recommend nearby options - true customer care that goes beyond just making a sale.
I purchased nearly everything we found in-store, and after securing my footwear elsewhere, I came right back to DXL to finish off the looks Christina and Danny had helped me build. The result? I couldn’t be happier. This was more than shopping trip. It was a fantastic, confidence-building experience delivered by two true champions of their company and their customers.
If you’ve never been to DXL, go. And if you’re lucky enough to work with Christina or Danny, know that you’re in the best hands possible. I’ll absolutely be back for future purchases and highly recommend...
Read moreGot some cool reebok outfits and dress clothes. I'm 6ft 4in tall & weigh approximately 250 lbs with huge shoulders and a long torso so it's difficult finding nice clothes that fit properly. I've been ordering online mostly, but it was nice seeing the actual store again. Although the downside they were out of a lot of sizes and specifically my size in what I went to get. The graphic t-shirts are awesome Marvel, Star Wars, Colorado Avalanche, etc. Update:There used to be a really friendly gentleman who worked there, but the girl that works there now is not very friendly and a bit pushy and not at all knowledgeable about the products & sizes they sell. I prefer to try on clothes before I buy them to make sure the fit is right. Next time I won't visit if she is there. She makes you feel unwelcome and bothersome...
Read moreHorrible experience! I've purchased from this store many times in the past, but will never go back after my latest experience. I needed to buy a lot of different clothing for a trip but didn't know my size since I recently lost a lot of weight. I asked the staff member who greeted me if she had a measuring tape I could use; not only would she not give it to me, but she was extremely condescending and proceeded to grill me about my size and exactly what I was there for. I didn't appreciate it and told her as much, and then she threatened to call the cops! Who does that?! Will never shop here again, and neither should...
