I received an 80-minute massage with a cupping add-on as a Father’s Day gift. It was meant to be a relaxing experience, but unfortunately, it turned into a frustrating and disappointing one due to a series of miscommunications and poor customer service from the spa.
When the gift was purchased, the staff offered a Father’s Day promotion where non-members could pay member prices. My wife specifically asked for an 80-minute therapeutic massage with cupping as an add-on, which was clearly communicated at the time of purchase. However, when I called to book the appointment, I was told I only had a 50-minute massage. We had to physically go back to the spa to clarify, and the manager confirmed it was indeed supposed to be 80 minutes with cupping — a mistake had been made by the original employee, who had apparently entered the wrong information.
But it didn’t stop there. On the day of the appointment, after I was already on the massage table and ready to begin, I was informed that the cupping would not be in addition to the 80-minute massage, but rather part of it. That’s not what we were told when the gift was purchased, or when we spoke with the manager. We were led to believe that the cupping was an extra service on top of the full massage time.
When I spoke to the manager again, while on the massage table, the only explanation offered was that the person who sold us the gift no longer works there, and that cupping is considered an “enhancement,” not additional time — something that was never explained. Apparently there’s a version called “fire cupping” that is longer, but no one told us this at the time of purchase. The manager didn’t take any real responsibility or offer anything to make up for the situation other than refunding the small charge for the cupping — which did nothing to compensate for the confusion or the poor customer experience.
While the massage itself was good, the overall experience was frustrating from start to finish. There was a clear lack of communication and no effort to make things right in a meaningful way. It’s unfortunate, because this was meant to be a special and relaxing gift — but instead, it left us feeling disappointed and unheard. I would not recommend this spa to others based on...
Read moreMy wife and I went here last night 1/5/25. Gaia Spa was amazing from the moment we walked in the door until we left.
First thing I noticed was it smelled amazing, the low lighting & ambiance passed the vibe check immediately as well.
The two friendly and knowledgeable ladies that greeted us (Carla and Gigi) offered us a turmeric ginger shot to drink and got us checked in. We enjoyed their company while we waited a short time.
I had booked this experience just earlier in the afternoon and they were able to accommodate a couples massage on the same day. We had even requested female massage therapist for both of us which they were able to accommodate.
We enjoyed a 60 minute Swedish massage with essentials oil I chose lavender as we were planning to go & relax afterwards. -I highly recommended an 8pm massage by the way it’s a perfect way to end your day.
I have only had one massage previously many years ago, but my wife has never had one. So we had no idea what to expect especially walking in as a lgbtq couple.
The studio itself was quiet with low peaceful music playing in the background. Everything was clean and smelled great. The blankets and tables were even warm when we got on them. They really have taken every step to ensure their guests have a great experience.
Bathrooms are clean and private with actual hand towels. From inside the studio we couldn’t even hear any noise from the outside world which helped with the overall experience.
Our massage therapists were Luna and Stacy and I can’t even begin to thank them for such a wonderful experience. They both were very good and checked in with us a few times to make sure we were enjoying our session.
We will absolutely revisit this spa, in fact if we were local I would have signed up for a membership on the spot.
I’m just glad the reason for our visit is annual so I will definitely book ahead next time. If it were possible to give more stars I absolutely would. I didn’t take any photos but the one’s already included in other reviews...

This was actually my first time ever getting a facial done, and I will tell every girl out there to get one every so often because it makes a huge difference. The staff at the front desk was very attentive and making the apt was quick and easy. Once I arrived a few minutes before my apt, I had no wait time, it only took me a few minutes to fill out the registration form since I was a first time client. The esthetician, Alex, was extremely nice and professional during the process, since she knew this was my first facial, she took the time to explain the process and address my skin concerns before starting the procedure. The installations itself were pristine clean, and the ambiance was relaxing from the moment you walk in is so soothing. The room where you get your massage/facial was spacious and very relaxing as well. The facial took about 60, and I enjoyed every minute of it. They use different techniques for a deep cleaning that adapts to your skin type. In my case I’m acne prone, so I let her know in advance, and she used products that were suitable for my skin. They also sell a variety of products and you can purchase trial size. I left there feeling so relaxed and you can notice the immediate difference in your face, so smooth and impurity free. I advise, to refrain from solar exposure and hot water in your face for at least two days because all the pores are open and your skin sensitive. I can't wait to go back to get my next facial or try a massage. Check them out on Instagram (@thegaiaspa) for especial offers and monthly memberships if you are going back on a...
