Chuck (Golf), asked if I needed any assistance. I explained that I’m relatively new to golf. I currently own a set of clubs, that were purchased from a 2nd hand store. They weren’t the best, so I was looking into investing into a set of irons and a putter.
He politely gave me a run down on some of the stores brands. Selected three different clubs and took me into the in store driving range to test the clubs out, so I could see which one would best fit me. I didn’t even know Dicks had this in the store in the first place.
We had plenty of small talk regarding the sport of golf, irons, putters, and the philosophy around the sport. I gained plenty of knowledge I didn’t have prior to walking into the store and am beyond satisfied with the help I was provided.
Chuck was helpful, knowledgeable, well dressed, well spoken, friendly, and showed immense care regarding the sport of golf. As someone who’s just starting out. With anything in this world. Seeing someone who is passionate about something, is inspiring. The talk we had gave me an even greater appreciation and determination towards learning a new sport.
I didn’t walk out with a set of irons unfortunately because of the price, but I do plan on purchasing the set that felt the best very soon. Which were the Cobra FMAX Iron Set. I did however pick out a nice putter, for a great affordable price of $105. For the time being that is.
I can’t recommend his services enough. Hopefully this little story of my experience alongside the survey within the receipt of my purchases, will help him receive the recognition he deserves.

I have alway purchase all our sports, hunting, fishing, etc. from them and my purchase was no different from the last except I was 4 days past the expiration date on my receipt and they wouldn’t accept the return. I understood that but then I asked for store credit which you know you always spend more than the store credit when you go back. They refused and told me the registers don’t allow it. They wanted to give me $9 for an item that was purchased at $79. I immediately called customer service at the corporate office and was told the same thing except it’s at the stores discretion to offer a gift card toward the purchase. I have been in management positions my entire life. Customer’s are your bread and butter. The Whitehall store in my book just failed big. Shame on you. Lost a customer over $75.00. I came in looking for a specific item and was told the week prior they had the item in transit and should receive it within the next week or so. I arrived at the store and was told they no longer were receiving/ expecting that item. I asked an employee who was stocking items on the floor if he could check their inventory and see if the item was still in transit and he replied with “we are no longer expecting to receive the item and we do not know what we are receiving until the truck comes.” He was very hesitant to check their incoming inventory and appeared as like it was a bother for him to do so even though I explained to him that they were able to check the...
