Started off as a good experience, then it just went downhill. I went to this location for a new tire and to get the brakes checked. Turns out I needed two tires and the brakes just needed to be greased. They noticed my left rear strut was leaking. Meaning I needed new struts. They told me the front struts were fine but I went ahead and replaced them anyways to have peace of mind. Oh boy was that the biggest mistake I’ve done with my car. I didn’t have all the cash to spend so they offered financing. I told them more than once, NOT to run my credit. They told me for the type of financing I was doing there was no credit check. They did completely the opposite, ran my credit and now I have a credit inquiry on my history. I was upset about it but I kept my cool and they offered a free oil change. I did not get all the work I paid for ahead because they needed to order the parts for the front and rear suspension. I waited a week and brought it back exactly a week later like I mentioned to the guy in the front I was going to do. When I took it back in to get the work done, it wasn’t the same guy that helped me, but it was the same mechanic. The guy that was there that day seemed to be bothered because it wasn’t him that got the commission. I get it, I worked in sells too. That was a huge red flag, I should have noticed and not left my car there. Now, not only does my car feel and sound like it’s from the 1970’s, it also rides like complete crap. They supposedly did the alignment 4 times and the steering wheel is still crooked. I brought the car back there 4 times after the first time. When they installed the struts, they damaged some type of ABS sensor so I had to drive my car with the whole dash lit up. I went back 2 days later because I noticed weird noises coming from the rear of the car. When I took it in the 3rd time they claimed there was a loose bolt in the suspension and could not fix the ABS issue that they created at that time. The car was given back to me and the steering wheel was still crooked, shakes at higher speeds and it’s making louder noises when pressing the brakes. Mind you, they told me the very first time they looked at the car my brakes were fine. I took it in for a 4th and last time. According to them they took apart the suspension and put it all back again. They told me the first time they aligned the car they made the mistake of not knowing my car needed to be on when doing the alignment. I know it’s BS because the car feels and sounds the exact same way. Now, not only does my car make a loud creaking noise when driving, it also makes a loud banging noise when applying the brakes. They told me it can be a caliper issue. But why didn’t I have this issue before they took it apart? When I picked up my car the 4th time I was told everything seems fine and they tried everything. Oh, the funny part is they tried to claim my car is making noises because it’s an old car with high mileage. I wish I was making this whole review up. But this nightmare is 100% real. Not only did I lose $1400..I’m stuck with a car that was perfectly fine when I first took it in. Just needed two tires. If you have a luxury vehicle, just take it to the dealership. It’s not worth losing money and the headache. This place 1000%...

I recently had the most frustrating and unprofessional experience at Mavis Tire. This shop is the epitome of bait-and-switch tactics, combined with rude and dismissive customer service.
I initially called Mavis Tire’s corporate call center for a quote. They provided an “out-the-door” price, explicitly including taxes, mounting, and disposal fees. I even confirmed the quote multiple times before deciding on this location. After shopping around, I called again to schedule an appointment. However, when I arrived, I was ignored for 10 minutes by staff who couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge my presence. Simple customer service would dictate at least a “we’ll be with you shortly,” but not here.
Once I was finally helped, the manager, Kapeel, was condescending and abrasive throughout the entire interaction. He couldn’t locate the quote I had confirmed over the phone, despite other Mavis locations being able to pull it up. After multiple calls to both the corporate office and the store, the price magically increased by $100. Despite being quoted the original price again during my calls, Kapeel flat-out refused to honor it. Even worse, when someone from corporate intervened and promised to honor the quoted price, Kapeel still refused, claiming his authority as manager.
This wasn’t just an isolated miscommunication—it felt like a deliberate bait-and-switch tactic. Corporate quotes one price, you arrive at the shop, and suddenly, the price is $100 more. Their excuse? “The quoted price doesn’t really include taxes, fees, or mounting,” even though I had explicitly confirmed all these details beforehand.
What’s more, Kapeel’s attitude made an already frustrating experience even worse. He seemed annoyed that corporate had quoted the wrong price and took it out on me, the customer. His dismissive and rude demeanor was completely unprofessional.
After wasting two hours of my time, I left without getting new tires. My family and I were on a road trip and needed winter tires for safety. Because of this shop’s shady practices and refusal to honor their quote, we had to settle for chains from an auto parts store instead of proper tires. This is not just inconvenient—it’s a serious safety issue.
If you value your time, money, and safety, avoid Mavis Tire at all costs. Their customer service is appalling, their pricing tactics are deceitful, and they clearly don’t care about their customers. I wouldn’t trust this shop to change a tire, let alone ensure my family’s safety on the road.
Update 1/11/25 in response to owner's reply:
It is unfortunate this reply seems like a quick form response and implores me to customer service. As I explained in the review, I had contacted the corporate office numerous times and there were already many opportunities to correct this frustrating situation.
This experience will make me certain to avoid all Mavis shops in the future and also share my experience with others by...
Read moreWent there for oil change, and new tire. All went well until I noticed my remote start module that sticks into my OBD port was completely broken. They made an attempt to put it back together but did so missing pieces and put the case on backwards. Found a piece that should have been inside on almost under my seat. I used it literally right before going to this shop. I got there and it notifies me anytime it’s unlocked or turned on on my phone. Once the work was done, I didn’t get any notifications but didn’t notice right away until the next morning when I went to use the remote start function. Module had no service or power at all. Opened up the case and noticed the screws were all broken off, and the module itself inside the case was bent in one direction like it was lifted off of the OBD port instead of being pulled out. Since I know it’s my word against theirs, no reason to call and make a big deal so I’d rather let everyone else know. Something funny is going on there. Most likely accidentally took it for hood latch since they are close to each other but didn’t bother mentioning it to me. Also dash cam was disconnected slightly out of power port which is suspicious. Guy at front desk was good though. Purely an employee there doing shady things or too nervous to say something. The camera being disconnected was the real odd part. Almost like covering something up. Had to order new module for my remote start system.
Update on another try I gave this place. Made an appointment days before to do a car inspection. They called me the same day I made the appointment to confirm my appointment. I confirmed it so that means they saw what services I needed and time. A couple days go by and when I get there for the appointment. Ponytail guy must have been in a bad mood and almost demanded me to instead drop my vehicle off because the inspection would take too long even though I made the appointment days before and they confirmed it with me. Horrible customer service from him. All attitude, and no respect to wasting customers time and refused to do the work that was requested on a confirmed appointment. Instead of asking me about it when they called to confirm they waited until I got there days later. I won’t even wait till strike three to not come back. I do not recommend this...
