DXL Big + Tall — Local services in Whitehall

Great selection of product for any budget.. Quality constructed items.. And, most importantly - the salesman (Victor) was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!! He was very knowledgeable about the many different items in the store, very professional, and very helpful.. He was unpacking new stock, waiting on me and another customer, and answering incoming phone calls - all at the same time - flawlessly! Victor REALLY made me feel like a valued customer - he was very polite, answered any questions I had, and made suggestions to help me get a 'full suit' that fit correctly and matched perfectly.. I will definitely give this store my business in the future.. And, again, 5 STARS for Victor!!! Thank you for your help, your customer care, and your suggestions - all the way down to helping me pick a 'matching tie' for my suit!! (Please note that this original review was from about two years ago, but somehow never posted properly!! )..

UPDATE December 2024!!! - Victor is STILL at the store, and STILL professional, helpful, and puts the customer first!! I stopped in to get a quick 'casual button down' shirt for an upcoming company gathering.. As usual, Victor was simply awesome, from a friendly 'hello!' as me and my wife entered the store, and then a quick check on us as we started browsing to see if we needed any help! I wanted to browse a bit, but Victor told me to take my time and that he would be right over by the dress shirt table if I needed anything!! As I tried on a few different shirts, I ended up locking myself out of the dressing room and had to ask Victor to let me back in! LOL.. And you know what? He did it with a smile! Lots of salepeople these days would 'sigh loudly' and 'roll their eyes', but Victor was pure class as he let me back in the dressing room and told me to just let him know if I needed any more help.. Another thing? Victor REALLY KNOWS the product!!! I had lost more weight since my previous visit, and some of the 3xl shirts seemed 'baggier' than others.. Victor explained that different brands like DXL and Ralph Lauren and others had 'different cuts' in sizing.. And he checked me as I tried on a few different shirts.. The DXL branded button down @ $120 was a 3xl, and it fit very nicely. Yet the Ralph Lauren shirt @ $130 was a 2xlt, and also fit very nicely!!! (The Lauren 3xl was cut bigger and too loose).. I liked both shirts so much that I bought them both!!!! And Victor told me and my wife that he was very pleased that I found something I liked!!!

Folks, THIS is what customer service should be!!!

Full disclosure - I do not shop at DXL every week.. Their stuff is pricey, though I do watch for sales!!! LOL.. I was assisted by Rodney. He was SUPER polite, courteous & knowledgable of the products I was looking for. When I asked for a tape measure to check my waist, Rodney literally RAN back to the desk to retreive it. Here is the most important aspect of my encounter w/ Rodney. I live approx. 45 mins from the DXL store in Whitehall. Between my job & the store hours I have been unable to get there as of late. Today I was up in Whitehall to pick up a friend. I stopped in at the DXL store at 9:30. It did not open til 10 am. I could not wait that long. I called the store as I saw a car in the parking lot. I have always enjoyed shopping at DXL (Whitehall Pa.) for years.

The variety and styles are on par with what I need.

This most recent visit, however, demonstrates their commitment to customer service. I was in need of a very specific style, color and size of a shirt, and while the website said they were, in stock at this particular store, I needed to call and confirm before making long drive. The gentleman that I spoke to at 10:30 in the morning confirmed that they did in fact, have what I needed on the shelf, after stepping away from the phone and seeing from himself.

I was able to come in later in the day and make the purchase that I needed.
