In November, I went and purchased a pair of glasses. The salesperson was extremely helpful and kind. After about a month and a half of trying to get used to the glasses, I just couldnāt. I went back in to see if they could tighten them for me, and after many adjustments the manager was brought out and informed me the frames were just too large for my face. She told me about a 90 day guarantee, and that I could pick new frames. Great! I had to come back because I didnāt have much time. Thatās when my bad experience began. I felt as though they were treating me like I was some sort of thorn in their side. Not only did I get new frames, but spent EVEN MORE money on the new frames (which I would think, to them, this exchange would be a little more worth while.) I went in to get my new frames fitted and still felt like they were a little big. The manager was helping me, and she seemed quite annoyed that I wasnāt satisfied. She suggested some stick on nose pieces. I agreed to give them a shot. The were temporary, so she suggested if I liked them, I come back and get permanent ones. I did just that. Again, the anxiety I would have walking in there was overwhelming, because I knew I was going to be treated as if I was bothering them. (By this time, they all knew who I was.) Sure enough, same type of customer service.... my final time going there was just 2 days ago, and my glasses still felt a little uneven..she seemed so annoyed, so I just said It was fine and left. Iām still having trouble with them staying up, but refuse to go back. I was extremely pleasant through this entire process and itās not fair to be treated as if youāre a pain in someoneās Side. This is YOUR job! People spend a lot of money on frames and to feel like you just have to āgive-inā on how they feel isnāt right. I wonāt be returning to Specs at TownEast and management/customer service has a big part to do with that. UPDATE: Co-Owner Jason and Manager Brooke, got into touch with me right away to fix my issue. They were extremely accommodating and understanding. I was able to meet Jason at a different Specs location and he got my glasses fitting great! I really appreciated the immediate response and eagerness to get the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHello everyone, I'd like to share my expereice with two different sunglass shops. The first one would be sunglass hut, I purchased a pair of Oakley (radar) back in 2015. After about two years of wearing them the lens were scratched pretty good so I opened up the case to switch it out for the second pair you get, when buying them new. I tried and tried to get them to fit and they would not lock on my sunglasses. I put them away and they were put on the back burner. I ended up going to specs one day at the east mall in wichita (same location at sunglass hut). I went ahead and bought a new pair of Oakley's. A few months later I found the case with the ones from sunglass hut with the receipt and figured id go in there and try and see what happened with the lenses that wouldn't fit my frame. I went inside spoke with two ladies that worked there and was told since it had been 7 years since purchase there was nothing they could do. That if it was within the last year they could swap them out. The lenses that were given to me were the radar pro or something like that. Very similar but not compatible. Which means it was a simple mistake that they would not make right. I needed a new pair of polarized lens for those frames since the original ones were scratches up so I packed my stuff up and went to specs to purchase the new ones from them. When I got there I was in my feelings so I explained to them the situation with sunglass hut and then purchased my new lenses from a nice employee named Emily. After leaving the store I received a phone call that came up as spec on caller ID. I answered it and long behold it was Emily. She goes to explain that she took my expereince to her manager and they would allow me to come in and pick a pair they had on the floor and swap out sunglass huts mistake. I have nothing but good things to say about their customer service and I look forward to future purchases with Specs!
Thank you Specs and I do not recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust wanna start by saying kudos to three important people who handled my lens replacement. Gavin, Tiffany, and Emily. I brought a pair of retro Oakley OO sunglasses in and started the process with Gavin. He took all my info and told me he'd call when they were ready and I didn't hear from him for a while, so decided to give him a call. Wow, I found out that the lab they were using had problems with my glasses, and said there would be a delay. Wanted to get mad, but instead trusted Specs. Then when I finally got back, the lenses turned out to be two different ones! This was after taking them home and wearing them a few times. Thought it was my old eyes, but turns out I was right, they were different. Also found out in this process that the lab couldn't find my frames for a while! I was again very much wanting to get mad but put my trust in Gavin, Tiffany, and Emily. They really came through for me. Oh did I mention that Specs ate the entire cost, and when I got them back they were perfect. Also didn't mention that the replacement lenses were a unique rose color that make my sunglasses stand out from any other Oakley's I own. All in all it was kind of a downer to have to wait so long, but very much worth it in the end. These guys treat me like royalty and that's why i keep coming back to them for my Oakley needs. They could've lied to me and not told me about everything that occurred, but they didn't. Very honest and forthcoming, and I can't thank them enough for how they handled the whole process! Also like to thank Erin and Brooke for always treating me like I'm a...
