We had an appointment with Dorothy at ProSource after we went under contract on our new construction house. I was more than thrilled to be able to pick out the colors, the tile, the granite, etc....all the best decisions to get to make. When meeting with Dorothy for our appointment, she was rude and condescending from the moment we walked in. She told me that "You seem like you would pick one of the priciest backsplashes..." as she degradingly told me to look at the other options when I told her I wasn't a fan of what she had already picked out. It was as if she took it personally that I didn't like the options she had presented to us. She also impolitely told me that she "just knew" that I would pick the more "delicate" looking granite based on my personality. This experience should have been fun and exciting, and because of Dorothy's horrible attitude and condescending demeanor, we couldn't get out of the store fast enough. I was so looking forward to getting to pick out things and decide what to put in our new home, but Dorothy made it very clear that my ideas were not to be considered. She was incredibly rude when I suggested options or colors, and told me that "that just won't work" when it was a suggestion she didn't approve of. Also, when the granite arrived in the house that we chose, the color was WAY darker than the one in the sample. When I called Dorothy to ask about it, I was told that we should have gone to the actual granite dealer to view full size pieces....Im sorry, but that option was never offered to us when we met with her!! How were we supposed to know that the white in the granite counters would come out gray? I picked the entire colors of this house around the color granite, all for the sample to be a very misleading depiction (way whiter/lighter than the actual granite) of what the color was. They should have better samples to more accurately show what you're purchasing, and if there is going to be that much "natural variation", have multiple samples! I was so disappointed when leaving ProSource, and because of our experience with Dorothy we went to another stores to purchase the backsplash, simply so we didn't have to work with her anymore.
I will say that every other person we spoke with/dealt with was so helpful and so nice, including the guys at the front desk. Unfortunately, we had to work with Dorothy. Customer service should not be that difficult. Treating people with respect and being kind shouldn't be either. But if you aren't going to do any of those things, please do your entire company a favor and get out of the customer...

This was my 1st time using pro Source. When I entered they assigned someone to work with me, but she was actually on the phone with a customer so told me to start looking around. She continued to stay busy so asked someone else to help us(I don’t think he was actually a design specialist, he was behind the front desk) Never saw the design specialist again. I checked out 2 samples. Next day came back with my husband ( no one offered to help us) so picked out a tile from their samples and ordered it. This was for our lake home 6 hrs away. When we picked up the tiles a week later, we headed to our lake house. When we went to instal the tiles there was a definite color variation that was not in their samples….purples in our grey tile. This was totally unacceptable and would look awful in our home. We needed to install the tile that day so we’re forced to find an alternative tile….a waste of about 4hrs of time. Upon requesting a refund for the misrepresented tile we were only offered their standard return of 30% restocking fee plus $75 shipping fee. About $300 cost to us. After several conversations we finally got it down to us still paying over $150. Their defense was on the back of the samples placard there was a picture that depicted the purple tones….WHAT….there is a picture on the back??? No one ever told us that. Where is the accountability for their sales staff?? How would I know to look on the back?? If there are distinctive purple tones within some of the tiles, wouldn’t that be important to include 1 of those on their sample board??? Overall extremely disappointed in their customer service regarding help at the store and especially disappointed in how they resolved our issue. We will never...
Read moreWe arrived at ProSource without an appointment, and were met by Ashtyn Phillips. We were picking out flooring for our new construction home, both LVT and carpet. Ashtyn listened to our LVT needs, and then guided us through choices that were clear and simple! Carpet came next, working off of our LVT color choice, and carpet needs, and pricing concerns, Ashtyn explained fiber quality and traffic expectations, and our doggie concerns. Her knowledge of the products and varying qualities was impressive and helpful! And her knowledge of color combination and guidance was just amazing! All the while carefully listening to our feedback and offering explanations as to what different color choices would produce or not produce once we have the big picture in front of us. I was thankful and relieved for her knowledge of the products she was selling and her understanding of color and decorating concepts. Ashtyn made an overwhelming task pleasant and exciting! Thank you Ashtyn! Lanita...
