Let’s start at the beginning, I usually stay at another hotel in the same parking lot here but wanted to treat myself to a little better of a room this trip. So I spent $112 on our room here for the night. While we’re checking in they have me sign the pet fee paperwork and as I’m reading over i see that they waive the fee for Service Animals and ESAs. I say “Oh good! I can give you my Dogs ESA ID right now and show you his paperwork!” Immediately the manager says “Oh no that’s more of an ADA thing…” while pointing at a sign about check out times? “It says here Emotional Support Animals, and my dog is an ESA. “ She continues to say that no, that’s basically wrong while I just look at her confused. So we get charged the additional $50. After paying even more money, I was less than impressed with our room. You had to really jiggle the door handle to get it to latch and the safety bar on the door was broken. Window shades were ripped/ stained and wouldn’t even cover the windows for privacy. The shower/bathroom and mold growing on the ceilings and found hair in our toilet seat. I thought to myself, well at least this hotel has a jacuzzi. Something the neighboring hotels didn’t have that influenced our decision to come here. We go to the pool, which is open, but the jacuzzi has yellow caution tape wrapped around it. Save yourself the money and go to a neighboring hotel. They’re still dog friendly if your traveling with your dog.

I have been going to his hotel for over 3 years. I say that to say I see the differences that some have mentioned. Since they do now have what seems to be long term guests they do have people that stand around outside and in the lobby. No biggie. The rooms are bigger than most hotels in the area. There was a disturbance on the 3rd floor on Saturday night. What started with kids running in the hall around 10:45pm to parents yelling and cussing around midnight. BUT what I can say is calling down to the front desk, security came and handled it within 5 mins. And as I stated been here many many times and this is the first time I've ever had to call for anything. This hotel is always clean, pleasant staff and the price is always great. Not sure about the other reviews but that has never been my experience. If I could make a suggestion, maybe put all of the long term guest on the same floor, it may or may not make a difference lol I have no ideal about running a hotel. But again, This hotel is great.

This place needs a serious upgrade. The suite is equipped with a keurig and a few pods but no cups or mugs to enjoy. The kitchen had a few plates and empty sour cream containers that one could use as a drinking cup. The king size mattress was not very comfortable as it has springs. I washed one load of laundry only to find that the dryer would not accept my money. So now I had the dilemma of drying the clothes that I needed to wear tomorrow. The heat did not work. It was stuck on air conditioning. There were no comforters or bedspreads just a sheet and a blanket. There is mold on the ceiling in the shower and on the bathroom floor. The stove was gross! The backsplash in the kitchen has never seen a speck of water. The furniture is raggedy. Even the moulding is falling apart. There was a big hole in the flooring. I dont think I have the wrong hotel as the owner has replied to most reviews and I'm not confused as to where I stayed. The proof is in the pictures.

My husband and I rented one of their overpriced Jacuzzi rooms for our anniversary and were disappointed in every way possible. The girl who checked us in was very nice once we made our way to the counter through several people who live at this hotel who were loitering around asking for things. Unfortunately, she failed to let us know that the pool was closed, WiFi was down and air conditioning was broken in several rooms, so after charging us $176 for one night, sent us up to our room which had no air conditioning during a heat wave. This was on June 30th 2021 which was the third day of 90 degree temperatures in Wilkes-Barre. The heat hit us like a brick wall as soon as we walked into the room, it was not liveable. The room had a tiny area with an ancient stove and refrigerator. The bed was a king size and appeared nice enough, the jacuzzi appeared clean and would comfortably fit 2 people. The bathroom was basic and the door did not shut all the way in order to lock it. It was certainly not worth the $149 they were charging but I could have overlooked it and enjoyed myself if the air conditioning at least worked. We go back down to reception and the girl says our room was not on her list of rooms that had no air conditioning. I am not sure how housekeeping could have cleaned the room and not reported it had no air conditioning. After several back and forths and no suitable remedy, she agreed to refund the room so we could go elsewhere that was at least liveable. However, my credit card later sends me a notice that they tried to charge another $176 to my card and it is now 4 days later they still have not credited my card. These people not only did everything in their power to ruin my anniversary but they are thieves. Fortunately I was able to get a king room at the Fairfied Inn behind TGI Fridays and in the same area as this hotel that was 1000% better than this one. There is no reason anyone should rent a room here when they could rent one at the Fairfied. This hotel is full of scumbags and is very low class. The manager even called me around 1pm on the day of check-in to verify I was still coming, and for some reason failed to tell us the pool and hot tub were closed, the WiFi was down and many rooms had no air conditioning, that is straight up deceptive and irresponsible. If I confirmed that I was still coming, why didn't she confirm that the air was working in the room before charging my credit card? Also she said everything gets charged to your card at 6pm whether you are there or not, so beware of that as well. The manager was also the one who supposedly credited my card when in reality she recharged me. Now I am out $176 on a holiday weekend due to her incompetence. I can and will fight the charge with my credit card company but I should not have to. They should never had charged my card to begin with without verifying the room was liveable and they promised me a refund. Do not reserve a room here for any reason and if you do, make sure you check the room before letting them charge your card. This place is also a security risk. The windows on the third floor open all the way, so a child could easily fall to their deaths. There are all kinds of men loitering in the lobby and outside making comments to everyone. And if they rent a room to someone with a medical condition with no air-conditioning they could actually kill them, they really should be shut...

When I checked in over 5 weeks ago spending roughly $3,000 dollars in there establishment. I was treated kind by everyone. Then towards the end after spending all that money. I needed literally 1 day to pay for a continuation and would have stayed 2 more month giving them roughly over 7,500 dollars. They had taken 60 dollars out of my account and never refunded it. In wich that's all I needed to continue to stay. Instead I was told by the head district manager "you don't pay, you don't stay" in wich I have paid but they wouldn't release the credit to my card. I'm sorry but that is bad business. I had every intention on staying 3 months to do a project out of my state. Then the assistant district manager also turned her back on me. Meanwhile as I was waiting to retrieve 68 lousy dollars for them. A gentleman that was staying there. Had to pay a $580 bill. He only had $300, so they let him pay the $300 and told him he could stay? That's discrimination at its best. I really started off giving the place a good review but after seeing what they have done not only take my money and not return it properly. But told me I had to pack up and leave and I was extremely nice during the entire process to all of them. Do NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL! no one keeps there word! It's smells like weed throughout the entire building. Every floor. And there are tons of people that just hang out doing drugs, drinking etc rite in front of the front door. As I've witnessed myself. The rugs are completely stained and disgusting. Everything is outdated almost like you walked back into the 80s. I do not suggest staying here for anyone. Save your money! For the price they charge you. You can get a 4 star hotel. This is no hotel more like a motel. Very disappointing with all the staff members. They apparently only work with certain breed of people. Meanwhile I've paid thousands and owed the same amount they took from me without ever giving it back. Lois the district manager is very rude and don't even let you get a word in. However mercedez the assistant DM she was very kind. She is the only one I will say thank you for your business. Just very kind. But that Lois has absolutely no heart and doesn't know how to do business properly. She needs to look at the amount of money I've spent and try to keep that customer around instead over 68 dollars on wich she owed me. She pleaded the innocent card like she had no clue. So they lost a really good person and customer over nonsense. It's sad. My suggestion find somewhere...

This place WAS POORLY MANAGED! When I first called to check in they told me it wasn’t any rooms left , so I went online and seen that it was. Unpon my arrival people we’re paying for rooms mind you they hadn’t booked so I was surprised they also had me pay a 150 deposit and I gave 160 never got my change back!😮 I had a two bed with mini kitchen. Bedding was nasty had to keep returning them! The kids was in the pool And jacuzzi didn’t work I was unaware of that though until I went out for towels lady at front desk mentioned it to me at the end then said I should’ve been given papers to sign due to my child having some friends in the pool with her for a safety issue. But still wasn’t given it. The next morning for clock out I was given a post it saying my money couldn’t be returned due to have a pool rented out which I never had rented out because other people was in there as well. They lied stated I have a room with 20 plus people lol. Mind you mind you it was my children and their friends so they can wish my child happy birthday smh 🤦🏿‍♀️ they swam and left. Before I left even after learning I wasn’t getting my money back I cleaned up the place. My problem is I seen the manager there and they seen me yet they wrote a post it and left it for the next shift to give it to me instead of notifying me once they seen. They was not busy cause every time I walked past they was sitting and laughing talking with the guest who lived there! I will NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN I HOPE TO FIND THE OWNER OR CORPORATE AND NOTIFY THEM OF THIS SITUATION. It was poorly handled and I felt singled out and picked on and judged. Horrible place not to mention barley no food in the morning windows wouldn’t open at all and the room door kept getting...
