One of the weirdest experiences ever.
I googled this place and checked the reviews as I do. I only found 2 negative reviews from years ago, so I thought “what could be so bad?” Crazy because after typing my email into their website, all of the 1 star reviews then pop up.
My feet were aching and I wanted quick relief so I booked an appointment before seeing any terrible customer experiences.
When I got there everything was well. She payed me out for the services I was receiving, even let me add an additional 15min back massage, and offered me the restroom before getting started.
Walking back, it wasn’t what I had expected, just an open room with chairs and people.
They started me with my 15min back massage, by her abruptly promoting me where to sit and place my belongings with no further explanation, and before I knew it another employee began massaging me. Never did they ask me any questions to personalize my massage. nothing.
Then went the foot massage. A beach towel layed over your lap and a dry wash cloth over your eyes. I payed $10 extra for a “foot soak” which only consisted of a kitchen bowl of luke warm water.
The $50 foot massage felt like a joke. He seemingly purposefully tickled my feet for the majority of the “massage”. Anyways, I easily knew when it was coming to an end because he spent the last 2 min just karate chopping my legs.
As I was heading out and going to hand him the masseuse a tip (not because he was deserving of one, but because I respect the time they took regardless) he accused me of not paying for my services AND proceeded to demand a $17 dollar tip.
He then called the lady who had rung me out at the beginning of the visit to confirm I payed, then put her on speaker phone to explain their “tip policy”. They continued to beat around the bush of my question “is it required to tip?” until after the 5th time of asking she finally said “no, but….” I cut her off and said “have a good day”and left. You don’t demand guests for tips, let alone even ASK for one. It’s just sickening to me. They don’t care about their guests, they just care about the money they’re walking out with in their...
Read moreI wish I had read the reviews online. After a 13 hour day on my feet I just wanted to relax and get a really good foot massage. I’ve been to foot massage places all over the world (Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, etc) so I know what to expect. So if the owner responds you can save your excuse you wrote on another review of “open concept” and “cultivate a shared calming atmosphere”… no that’s just usually how foot spas are.
The 60 min foot massage was actually excellent. And my feet feel so much better. But the staff are extremely loud when they are in the front area. I heard every single phone call and conversation. No emphasis on quiet voices, staff that weren’t actively working sat in the corner of the main room on their phones whispering loudly to each other. People coming in and out the door walking in and out constantly, shuffling their loud feet. As people are coming in for service again no emphasis on being quiet, considerate and respectful of other people trying to have a “relaxing” experience. It’s impossible to relax here even with a dark room and spa music on. I know the man massaging me was frustrated for me because he kept saying sorry over and over. At one point I just wanted to leave because the constant noise was starting to stress me out. I also know he told the woman working the desk that I was not happy with my experience. She then repeated it to the other staff (maybe don’t assume people don’t understand foreign languages!).
Before the loudness I was thinking what a great idea it would be to book a large party and bring my coworkers for a relaxing day. But I think I’ll save them the money.
Foot massage was great and I was happy with that. Otherwise, pretty disappointing and wish I had just used the money elsewhere. They should consider removing the “relaxation” word from their name. I don’t think this is a place I’ll frequent again, especially without earplugs.
*Also be aware, most of the photos on Google, Instagram and their website are stock photos and not...
Read moreVery clean facilities, very attentive massage therapists on staff. Extremely respectable, and respectful of the clients. Very peaceful and tranquil dark environment for chair massage. Finds the spots you didn't even know needed attention. Go in with a headache come out feeling Zen. Same day service available makes this very very nice for those of us who live with headaches due to back pain and neck pain. Absolutely wonderful massage!
Update August 2023, this is the only place to get a massage. You actually get someone who focuses on the muscles that are tight and doesn't just ignore the tight spots. Wendy went above and beyond trying to work those muscles that have been bugging me for so long and I walked out of there without any hip pain. This is the first time I've been without pain in my hip in 3 months and I've gone to acupuncture, chiropractor, physical therapy, other massage therapists and even the stupid Urgent Care to get x-rays because I was so worried I might have a degenerative hip disease or something silly. Turns out I just needed Wendy. I'll be seeing her every week! Don't let the language barrier fool you these people know exactly what they're doing when it comes to massage and they know how to keep a clean environment and they are very respectful. I love...
