King Feed and Hardware — Local services in Wimberley

Found exactly what I needed when I came into King Feed, so my review has nothing to do with their selection or available products. My review is about the employee who checked out my mother and I. When we approached the checkout counter, he was watching something on his cellphone, not wearing a mask. Didn't greet us or make sure our shopping experience was successful. In fact, I don't believe he said a single word to us. Instead of pushing our purchased product closer to us to pickup, he left it where it was on the counter and leaned back onto the counter to continue watching whatever was on his phone, hovering over our items. This type of service makes me want to shop elsewhere, especially when COVID is rampant in Hays County. I really hope King Feed will consider addressing this issue and reevaluate their COVID protocols as well as employee/customer interaction. For reference, this was at 3:30pm...

I never thought I would use the word love to describe how I feel about a feed store, but here we are. We buy our chicken feed and dog food here regularly. They have a really great selection of high quality dog and cat food to choose from, if your pet isn't tolerating a regular store brand like my dog was. I also come here regularly for their plants. Their staff have always taken excellent care of me. Been patient, answer all my questions, help me find plants if I'm having trouble finding them. Discussing care, feeding, watering requirements. Giving me recommendations as to what plants do best together if planted in native soil or in raised beds, etc. Their soil n conditioners are excellent. They have a loading dock where they will come out & load your purchases.
