You folks need to know whom you're giving your money to. This store is over priced and not customer orientated. I used this Hardware store because it was convenient not because of the prices. I owned and operated a company called Aqua Solutions in town. Prior I was the Utilities superintendent for Woodcreek Utilities. During this time I opened an account for the utility company to use. A different owner own Ace back then and he was customer orientated. So I was a Patriot custom of Ace Hardware. My company alone spent over 250,000$ The utility company is still spending money there.
This is my story why I don't use this Hardware store anymore.
Tad's (Ace own) cashier refused to check me out me. I dated this casher 1 time 6 months prior. I decided we were not a fit after 1 date so I no longer dated her. 6 month later I see her at ace and used her line to check out. She refused to check me out for no reason. Tad the owner allowed this to happen 3 different times with the same casher. All the other cashers had no issues with me that I know of.
So I pulled my account after 20+ years and never came back. Tad the owner called me and begged me to come back. I refused to use his store again. So Tad the owner sent the cops to my home to issue me a criminal trespass warning. Why Tad did this I don't know but it reinforced my decision to never use ACE Hardware again. Tad (the owner) will lie about you to the police if you refuse to do what he wants over the PHONE.
I never showed any disrespect to anyone working at Ace hardware. I never threaten anyone or cussed at anyone. So why would Tad lie about me to the police? The only reason I came to is everyone in town knew me. And the truth was going to come out. So Tad covered his Azz by lying about me to the police. Because I reported his casher's behavior to ACE corporate...
Read moreI went in recently to return an item that did not work. I had my receipt. The receipt did not state a return/exchange policy. I asked the person at the return desk if I was able to return the item, or if I had to receive a store credit, etc. The person would not give me a straight answer. Her first response to my question was telling me that I could exchange it for another of the same item. I again asked her if I could return it, since the return policy was nowhere to be found. She then told me that she would have to defect the item out since it was broken. I would like to think that would be an automatic part of the Ace Hardware return protocol when there is a defective item. I would also expect for customers to be treated with common human respect, instead of being made to feel like a liar or a burden, which is how I was made to feel. There was no greeting or closing "Thank You". I have worked in retail management for over 15 years. One thing that should never happen is for your associates to make customers feel disconnected...
Read moreThis was one of the best Ace Hardware's I've ever been in. Every employee I encountered was very helpful kind courteous and friendly they help me find exactly what I needed where it was and what it was ie air conditioner cleaner fluid my son asked me to pick it up I didn't even know what it was are where to find it. Everyone was so nice and helpful when I went to check out it took me 10 minutes just to get by all of the impulse Buy things at the front register I could have spent a hundred bucks there if my wife would have let me. The checkout cashier Valerie was sweet kind and very professional at her job. One of my items didn't have the sticker so she just got on her little phone headset and had one of the guys check out the price and give her a call as I waited at the counter to check out the service was fantastic. It took what could have been a very frustrating situation and made it into a very...
