I visited your store last weekend and had a very disappointing experience. Upon entering, I made eye contact with the two greeters at the front, but neither acknowledged me or offered a welcome. Moments later, I observed one of them âmanagerânamed Myla warmly greet a white couple who entered after me with a smile and a âwelcome in, please let me know if you need any help.â The difference in treatment was clear.
As a customer of color, I found this unprofessional, discouraging, and frankly unacceptable. Managers are supposed to set the standard for excellent service and treat all customers with respect. Instead, Myla ignored me, walked past me without offering assistance, and only asked another associate to help me. Thankfully, that associate was kind and helpful, but the overall experience was overshadowed by how dismissive and biased the management was.
This type of behavior not only drives away paying customers , I had planned to purchase several perfumes â but also reflects poorly on the company as a whole. Itâs frustrating and disheartening to see people in positions of authority treat customers differently based on race.
Because of this, I will not be returning or spending money with your company. I hope you take this feedback seriously, review how your managers and staff interact with all customers, and make changes to ensure fair and respectful treatment...

So I took it to the front to a cashier and asked the cashier what to do from here. She said that they could have it shipped and she wouldnât have me pay the shipping fee what should be a given when they donât keep any extra inventory on hand. The fitting room lady also was rude. Had me waiting in line for several minutes when there was open dressing rooms because she never followed up to check to see if they were emptyâŚ. I tried to return to this store and was told I was outside the vendor's window by 2 days...well I had just returned from out of the country and wasn't aware the return time was different. I called Macy's online while I was in the store and was told Rag Company would assist with the return and send me a label. We'll that never happened and now almost a month later I am still going back forth with Rag Company. I am done shopping with Macy's and Rag Company.
