Hope this reaches you,
I ordered Summer Leafcutter BeeHaven - Bee House - With Bees and it shipped the day I ordered. Nice! I open the package and NO Bees! Nope, just a redeem code. Okay, I redeem my bees and it's been two weeks, no bees, no reply. I tried to redeem and contact this company multiple times, no luck. This is definitely false advertising, and the worst business practices. After reading some reviews I see some people experienced what I experienced, and it's funny to see the owner replied to all of them. If you plan to reply to this message, I just wish you spent that same energy doing your job. This is a zero star rating!
7/16/202 So as you can see this company replied to my complaint, and they did send me my bees immediately after their message. I appreciate it, I received my bees and did exactly what they recommended, put the bees in the fridge for 15minutes and released them. I'm pretty sure they just left my backyard, that's okay, like it says they are wild insects they will do as they do. I am no longer violently angry at crownbees, but I don't think I will order bees ever again. I think it might be more beneficial for me not to introduce species from different areas in my area, instead I think I will try to naturally draw my bees with native flowers and build nests and hope for the...
Read moreI ordered back in February the bee house chalet kit including Mason bees and Leaf cutter bees. When the time came I did not receive the ordered Mason bees and after some emails back and forth I ended up getting just a refund. At this time it was too late to get anywhere else Mason bees, everyone else was sold out. Furthermore days before I asked where are the Mason bees I received an email that there are still some Mason bees looking for a new home, but apparently there were none for my shipment to Canada. After that I was told that the order for the Leaf cutter bees was cancelled. I didn't cancel anything and then I was told that the bees will be shipped on June 15 to me. However, today (it's May 31, 2021) the Leaf cutter bees arrived, but not as promised per Fedex, they arrived via Canada Post. I find this very disturbing just getting them via regular mail in a regular envelope. No hint on the envelope that this is a fragile shipment or that there are bee cocoons inside. Let's see whether they even survived this treatment. Sorry but all in all I'm very disappointed and I just would advise any Canadien to get there wild bees supplies local and not doing the same mistake than me and order...
Read moreCrown Bees was one of the first companies that I came across when I "got into" raising these local lovelies! I highly recommend their products for being great quality. They are a little pricey, but I think you get what you pay for.
Also, Crown Bees offers all kinds of educational videos and presentations, they send out a very informative (but not over the top) newsletter with tips and tricks, and they are clearly trying hard to promote the active care for these great bees!
I wanted to raise my own hive of honey bees but I discovered that I just didn't have the time. Focusing my efforts on Mason bees and other native pollinators has required far less time but has been NO LESS educational or enjoyable. It's a real treat when a child comes over and gets to have one fly out to land on an arm or hand. Magical!
If you, too, are a backyard naturalist, you absolutely NEED to raise local pollinators. And Crown Bees is a great source for products, bees, and information. I truly appreciate their support of these magnificent...
