If I could give zero stars, I would. I purchased a $14 Dubai chocolate bar and opened it right in front of the cashier—only to find it was extremely oily, overly soft, and already melting. I immediately asked if this was normal. She wasn’t sure, so she kindly went to get the manager.
When the manager came out, he didn’t seem to care at all. He didn’t even bother to take a closer look or acknowledge the condition of the product. There was no apology, no concern, and certainly no attempt to make it right. He simply said, “It’s supposed to be that way—greasy.” When I pointed out that it was melting, he dismissed it by saying, “Well, it’s hot outside.”
I’ve had Dubai chocolate before, and I can confidently say it should not be greasy or melting in your hand immediately after purchase. The manager’s attitude was rude and dismissive, which only made the experience worse.
