They say every beauty school is the same, but I beg to differ when it comes to this school. I tour a lot of schools and even attended a different school before coming to this school (trendz) which was a huge mistake and I can say I had an amazing experience from the time walking in the door, talking to Mrs. Kathy, her breaking down the program to me in a very thorough manner, During my first week here, I experienced the school given back to the community by doing free facials for the senior citizens and the back to school events for the kids in which I loved. My biggest concern was knowing the theory and when I got into Ms. Angelaās class one thing I can say she made sure we knew what we were doing hands down. sheās elevated me in ways that I cannot describe. She was there for others and myself through all of our hard moments because beauty is not easy .I didnāt feel like a number at this school. They gave me the personal attention that I needed to be able to thrive and graduate the program feeling confident that I know everything I need to know for a great start. They were flexible with scheduling. They were very understanding to things happen in life. They were encouraging and most of all I can truly say they really care about their students. I wasnāt on the cosmetology side, but I seen that Ms.Sandy,Ms.T & Ms. Robbins did really well with their students Mrs.Shanissa is dope asl!! Amazing Spirit!! I graduated the esthetician program. Beauty school is what you make it and I can say this school is worth going to. donāt be fooled by the hype of all the big schools with all the big fancy stuff half of them donāt even have teachers!!! And good teachers are hard to come by but this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a paying customer & having bought Cameo Plenty of customers over the years i was Disgusted by Educator MEGHANN JENSEN & her Actions. Shes always put me on blast when i came in about my split ends, she immediately loses her ' professionalism" and speaks very "hood" when she talks with me ( as if that's the only way I can communicate ) by saying things like "WHAT YOU BEEN DOING TO YO HAIR" " YOU WANNA NOT HAVE EDGES BY 30?" I'm use to her being this way w me. This particular evening 1 of her Caucasian students did my hair as best she could. As she was flat iorning it 3 managers swarmed around me I'm assuming to "fix" the girls work. Educator Meghann, parted my hair with a brush and jerked and pulled me as she rushed to try to fix my hair. While she was suppose to be fixing my hair, she took time to read into my phone and seeing me text about having an altercation with some "white people". Assuming I was speaking of her she told me i was RUDE and that she KNOWS HOW to do BLACK HAIR (though "hair" wasn't in my text) not only did she invade my privacy, but she assumed I was "black" I don't use that term to identify myself because I'm African and im not from the state's. She then made myself and the hair stylist feel uncomfortable. I lost a lot of hair, was humiliated, she defamed my character, was extremely rough on my scalp and invaded my privacy. I ended up apologizing and tipping the hair stylist anyhow. My hair didn't have 2 b perfect because I was putting on a wig anyhow but I didn't need MEGHANN pulling and rustling it any which way because she's angry. I'm extremely upset that I had such awful time at my...
