Meijer — Local services in Worth Township

I often visit the Merrillville Indiana Meijer, and it is one of my favorite places to shop. In a pinch when staying with family, I ordered from the Evergreen Park IL’s Meijer — just a few items for drive up pick up, in which i was charged a $5 fee (normal). I received notification that my order was ready for drive up pick up, and when I arrived to the store the employee came out with half of my order, amounting to almost less than the $5 fee I was charged to pick up.

There was no prior notification to me from the Evergreen Park IL Meijer that items I ordered were not in stock as they appeared on the website before I started my drive to pick them up and I received a notification that it was “Ready,” so I made the trip there to basically pick up 2 cans of soup and some tuna. However, they still charged me the $5 pick up fee. The employee asked me at my car window when I saw items missing if I wanted to cancel it then and there. Wasted trip and out $5 for this? Pretty annoyed I drove for nothing, I kept the order and told her I’d call the store in the AM (it was evening).

I called the store the next day and the store manager called me back with an offer not to refund the $5 I was charged, but to give me $5 in Meijer in store credit. Pretty shady, and terrible customer service. This is not the first time I’ve had issues with pick up items appearing in stock on the website, and then being cancelled because they don't actually have them.

I will not shop at this location, the Evergreen Park IL Meijer, and now I find myself shopping at Meijer less in general after this. Their pick up processes are not efficient. Ive started shopping at Target for any pick up’s now ~ they are 100% on top...

I was just profiled while shopping! While dressed in my worst and angry because my basement flooded and trying to just come and get a water pump and some shampoo while the car charged! I was approach by a manager who asked if the cart was mine in the hair product aisle and I kindly said no unaware they were watching me so I continue to browse. My son called and stated the car was ready so I proceeded to go to grab some lemonade and ice cream and decided to go to the register because I believe self check out is taking jobs away from people . Well guess who came over to ring my merchandise the lady who approached me in the hair aisle. I’m still not aware I am being profiled but as I give my son the cart to go to car the security guard ask for the receipt as I walked the store again to see if I dropped my card and guess who is following me, another security guard at this point I am angry but really needed the pump to get the water out my basement but my Son who thinks like his momma who is now outside with the bags in the car said “you should return all this stuff and go where your money will be appreciated” so I returned it and went to Walmart but they had no water pump. However, My God knows my heart and when I arrive home without any tools the water was down and almost clear. I would recommend the store find a better way of identifying a thief than just by appearance because my $211.98 on 11 items is just the start of me telling my friends and family not to...

I would like to start off by saying that 2 couple of years ago this was my favorite place to shop. I call the bakery department in July 2022 to order some cupcakes for a gender reveal upon speaking with the older woman in the bakery department the Attitude was bad from the time she answered the phone until the time I had gotten off the phone. I did however explain to the woman over the phone about the color of the cupcakes and what the occasion was. When I had gotten to the store to receive the cupcakes the color was not the color I had ask for .on the work order the color that I had asked for was not Specified although she said that it would be. I didn't understand that something so simple as Light blue and light pink would be a problem unfortunately I never received a call saying that they couldn't provide me with that particular color. The bright side of it was when picking up the cupcakes.
