I dined here with 2 friends as a birthday celebration for me. When asking for a seat and a lot were available, we were told to wait because we didn't secure a reservation. Upon being seated, we were warned that we could've had 90 minutes to dine with a reservation, but now only allowed 60 minutes. The waitress was nice and took our orders. The food started to come out dish by dish before the appetizers. It turned out to be so freaking good that it didn't matter. We completed our meal and were waiting on the bill. As we were waiting and talking, a strange masked man came over, squatted down & asked if we had the "Toast" experience. We were surprised and really didn't answer. He continued to say that they had a lot of reservations and that we needed to be mindful of the 60/90 minutes to dine. He then wrapped up his statement by asking if we needed anything else! We responded almost in unison, "the bill." We attempted to explain that we were waiting on the bill, but he was walking away at this point. I turned around in my chair to count 5 available tables across the span of the establishment (not including ours that they desperately needed), and about 2 people waiting in the doorway area. I was shocked, confused, and concerned about what just happened. I questioned if the guy really worked there. He was dressed in a dark green maintenance uniform, outside jacket, black baseball cap, and a mask. We paid the bill and started to leave. I approached Mr. Unknown and explained to him how his approach rubbed us the wrong way. I tried to make him understand that if they wanted to "enforce" this time limit, then the whole staff needs to be a part of that system. It's not the responsibility of the customer to "keep time". He should've checked with his staff FIRST before approaching us and informing us that they have other reservations. Again, only 2 people were waiting, and we passed right by them to have this ridiculous conversation outside. Mr. Unknown, denied what he told us and swears he was just checking on our experience. I advised him that he ruined our experience and hoped he wouldn't do that to the next group. We never got an apology, a name, a title, or anything that displayed care or professionalism. Guess I will try Toast Atlanta. I'm not sure if they're the same, but...
Read moreThe first time I came to the establishment (last week), my daughters & husband came, there was a bit of a wait, which was understandable. One young lady said she would be with us and started serving taking care of the seated patrons, no problems there, but when another young lady tried to seat us, a different person walked up with an attitude and snapped at her and said “THEY JUST GOTTA WAIT!” We decided that this was not the establishment our girls needed to be in, so we left.
Fast forward to today (9/30/23), my husband made reservations and up on our arrival, the staff was not friendly, welcoming or anything. We encountered one young lady, that did not greet us but put water on our table, walked away and came back like 5 minutes later asking if we were ready to order. I will admit that it was very busy for the staff, they had 3 birthday celebrations going on at one time, but being in this type of business, and with them being new, and it was hyped up on all social media platforms, I expected better. Our food was not seasoned, my eggs were bland, my husband did not enjoy his grits & shrimp, his catfish, one was fried fresh and the other one tasted like it was sitting under a heating lamp, and it was very hard to chew. Not to mention, our food came out in pieces (my husband got his shrimp & grits first, then came the potatoes, lastly his catfish, my food came and the toast was last to come). The best part that he enjoyed was his drink. I loved the music, it was definitely a whole vibe, but having any kind of conversation without yelling at one another was not happening, it was very loud. We have NEVER spent less than an hour in a restaurant and we were there a good 35 minutes, from the time we sat down, ordered our food,...
Read moreI recently ordered online and I didn't order much but I wanted to as fair and honest as possible so here it is..... I was under the impression that they opened at 7:00am which it does say that online but on their place of business it has 7:00am so I was a bit conflicted with the time. I ordered Traditional French Toast and hashbrowns. The food was hot and fresh but the French Toast was just ok for me I couldn't taste to vanilla cinnamon nor sugar that supposed to be in the egg mixture and I barely taste the mixture on the actual piece of French Toast and the hashbrowns were done but had no crisp or browning to them so I rated based on elements that were lacking in the food . Overall food was fresh cook good and I was greeted by Manager with kindness and opened arms I most definitely will try them again glad they're in the neighborhood cause we need fresh eats
Update: I had the pleasure to finally dine in. I ordered the pancakes special, my daughter had waffles, grits and eggs my son had the peach cobbler french toast with a meat skillet. The portion sides were small size especially the potatoes and my eggs which I ordered scrambled with cheese had to be sent back because they were sent to my table with cheese sprinkle on top as if they forgot and rushed it. Tried a scoop of my daughter grits and they were flavorless and the reason I'm editing this review is because I ordered the fried green tomatoes and I took one bite and I immediately notice they were cooked in fish batter or grease epic failed and I was highly disappointed 😞 but other than that everything else was good. Just be mindful because there are many people who suffer from fish allergies and Im just glad I'm...
