I would first like to say I rarely make bad or negative reviews so I thought hard before I made this review. I have been patronizing this establishment since 2022 in which a former coworker told me about this restaurant. The food has been good and reasonably price so I have continued to come to this restaurant. I never had any real issues but a handful of times that my order was wrong but other than that I had no problems. Every time I come when I have dealt with the employees no problem for the most problem. I want to say on October 11 I went to Los Comales in Evergreen Park. I was going out of town and I needed something quick to eat so I order what I normally always order a Steak Taco Dinner with onion and cilantro on my taco and my two slides rice and beans. When I pull up to pay I wasn’t greeted but I didn’t think much of it as anything big and after I got my food I normally check my bag but I didn’t this time. I thank the cashier through the window and said have a good day she didn’t say anything back only shut the window I thought it was rude but again didn’t think anything big of it I was needing to eat something before I headed out of town. I drove a little but not very far before I realize there was no spoon or folk to consume my rice and beans. So I drove back but the drive through had people so I drove around to park I was close by the drive through still in my car near a parking space as I was about to leave my vehicle to run in thr women that took my order opens the window of the drive thru n I said to her I didn't get any spoon or folk she look at me like I said something wrong I had a puzzle look on my face and she repeated everything I said back and said you didn’t get a folk or spoon as if I’m asking for one was a problem. I said puzzled yes I need one for my rice and beans she said pull up here and we will get it for you. I was in a rush so I just park and went in. I ask the cashier which was man for spoon and folk then I ask for the cashier name so I could speak to a manager later another day he ask me why did I need her name I said because she was being rude to me. Then I just ask to speak to a manager in general and he said the manager wasn’t there. While he said that the drive thur clerk chime in and said I wasn’t being rude I just didn’t hear you so I repeated it back. So if u didn’t hear me how were you able to repeat it back? So I said okay and she say the lady in the drive thru even ask why you look at me strange go ask her. So as I was leaving I seen the lady in the drive through and I ask her excuse me ma’am and the lady roll her windows up at me so I said fine and I was about to pull off when the same lady said I told the manager it was your fault and the girl didn’t do anything wrong and also I will call the police on you. I was in disbelief and felt really shock. I said huh I see it’s because of my race and the lady said I’m a minority too so don’t try it I get tired of you people (being black) people playing the race card. She said names to me in which I said them back but a friend said she’s not worth it so I said have a good day ma’am to her as she drive off and continue to say hurtful things. I was about to back in and just get a refund for my food but I called a friend and she told me to just go and I did. I left feeling hurt down and attack for only asking for spoon and folk. Also as I was going back to my car a men stop and said he witness the entire encounter and it’s a shame how racist Mexican people can be toward black people. I actually wanted to cry but a friend told me kept going on with my day and keep it pushing. I have never ever experience anything like that in my life and I will never return to that establishment. In this economical money is hard to come by so when I spend my hard own money here or anywhere I expect to be treated fairly. If you are BLACK never...

Let me first say that I eat here often. I always say that the drive-thru option is one of the MAIN reasons I decided to try them. Their food is always consistently GOOD.

I've ordered steak tacos, quesadillas with and without meat, shrimp tacos, chicken tacos made with both grilled and marinated chicken. The steak tacos are always well seasoned and I add cheese along with the cilantro and onions. Of the chicken tacos, I prefer the marinated because it has more of a fajita flavor. Their tortilla chips are made fresh & DELICIOUS!

Because we eat from here often, I decided to order a few pans of Tacos and rice(30 and 20) for my mom's 75th birthday. I also ordered guacamole and salsa with chips. It was my first time ordering pans of Tacos, so I didn't know what to expect. They literally prepare the tacos with meat and place them in foil pans. Your condiments are on the side (lettuce, tomato, onions, cilantro, green/red sauce). Unfortunately I arrived home to find out that they forgot to give me my pan of 30 tacos. Called the restaurant to let them know...long story short...Cristian the manager was so apologetic about the mix-up that at first he offered a credit, but then extended the apology and drove to my house and dropped off the pan of 30 tacos. I did not live too far, but considering that it was our first snowfall of the season, I APPRECIATE HIM & HIS AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I will ALWAYS support this business because they went OVER & BEYOND. I don't live in a bad neighborhood BUT considering the climate we live in (ppl getting carjacked), I don't think I would have pushed for him to deliver the order that was mistakenly not included. It is because of that I would have settled for a credit and figured out a plan B. This is how you take care of...

Line was super long so I ordered through DD pickup $40 worth of food for the family. Got home to realize I was missing my sister's taco. Went back out 5 mins later (I stay like 3 blocks away) to politely let the same employee who handed my order know I was missing a taco and showed receipt on phone. Instead of just making the taco, I was instructed to go back home in stormy weather to bring the bag to show proof I didn't get 1 taco on a $40 order? Why would I get back in the car in a storm try to lie and finesse a $3 taco? Probably spent $3 in gas having to come back up there. Ended up just paying and waiting for another taco for my sister, but cmon. Was told by the manager that the owner would be upset if they gave me the taco without proof or a picture? How do you take a pic of what's not there as proof? Was I supposed to unwrap foil and count tacos before I left the store? Was I supposed to have my family hold on eating, gather around, unwrap, and individually count tacos before passing them out to eat, and then since it's one taco missing pack all the food back up and bring it all back? For 1 taco I have to dispute with DD and run different transactions to wait on refunds and recharges instead of just handing me a taco you had already been paid for? We've had events catered from them, bought gift cards for holidays, eat there regularly, etc.. Not employees fault like I told them, but that's a wild policy. I attached a pic of the missing taco...
