I was in the other day to buy a Christmas tree and I have a few complaints. They used to have a cashier out in the garden center so you could pay for it and go out that door. The past two Christmas seasons, there has been no one there, so you have to drag the tree inside to the cashier. The tree didn't have a tag on it (a red ribbon only) and cashier had no idea how to handle this. She had to get her phone out to look it up, still had trouble and I had to tell her what kind of tree it was. I couldn't possibly have been the only customer to have this issue. Maybe Menards could put a chart up so your cashiers can tell what kind of tree it is if it is missing a tag. Second, they used to have an experienced guy in the garden center to handle bundling and cutting the tree if you wanted. This time, they had a young man out there who had no idea how to put the tree through the thing that wraps the tree or how to handle the saw or how to place the tree to trim the trunk. I am not blaming him as he was not trained at all. I watched him as he "helped" the customer ahead of me, then I decided that I didn't want my tree messed up. Like I said, not his fault but the fault of management for not showing him how to do it correctly. It's Christmas season and you guys should be...
Read moreSo I rented a floor sander from this store. I went to return it and was met by Katie the manager who was very rude. She told me there would be a fee to clean the machine and I said that was fine. Then she inspected the machine and said that there was damage. I said "it was like that when I rented it" her reply "couldn't have been" and I replied "it could have been and could you not be so accusative" Katie walked away after radioing another manager. 20 mins go by so I go to the managers deck where I find Katie talking to Damien. He was cool and so was Amanda (she apologized for how I was treated). Damien reviewed the tapes and confirmed that it was already damaged when I rented it. No one else apologized and I pointed to Katie, who was at a register, and said "wow it was like that when I rented it"smh. So they waived the damage fee and the cleaning fee (I cleaned the machine while waiting for the managers to come back). Crazy thing is I was about to buy a washer and dryer from them but they lost my business. I've spent thousands there and I'm moving on to home Depot despite the added distance. Money talks, don't pay to be treated poorly or accused of stuff...
Read moreI wanted to look for new appliances and furniture, which is the main reason why I went to this store. The store is clean, well-lit, and properly organized. It was not crowded, which was good because I got to really explore and see what the best of the store had to offer. The staff are also very nice, friendly, and helpful. The staff I saw even asked me if I needed help with anything, and I said I was looking for new appliances and furniture and I would like to take a look at it, and he showed me where it was. I took that opportunity to ask many things regarding the product, and he was able to answer them all. They also explained important information and the like about everything, which was really helpful and gave me the ideas that I needed on what to buy. The selections are really nice. Most of them are interesting. The quality is good and the prices are somehow fair and reasonable. I considered the suggestions of the staff and, of course, my taste when it comes to the things I wanted particularly. I was very happy with my purchase from this store, and it was all thanks to the friendly and very helpful staff of this...
