I bought a new Valley Forge "12" x 18" sewn US Garden Flag" from Michaels on June 10, 2024, and displayed it almost immediately in the Triangle region of NC with a western exposure, which means a lot of sun. Now in late October the red stripes are very faded, though the blue remains strong.
I did not like the overlap front to back with the stripes not overlapping each other. This caused a see-through effect that looked like a shadow on each stripe. I was told this is necessary with sewn flags because of where the stitching has to go.
Given the obvious strong fabric and bold color of the new flag, I expected it to look good for longer than 4 1/2 months. I paid $12.99 for the flag and was hopeful for commensurate longevity.
This flag would probably last longer, looking much better, if it was displayed indoors or in a mostly...
Read moreI purchased a 3x6 American flag banner I figured I would buy American. The last five banners I purchased from them was over 20 years ago I was very happy with them. I received my five new ones to replace my older ones and when I went to hang them they were shorter. I measured my older ones they were 3x6 I measured the new ones and they fell short of 6 feet by 10 inches I thought maybe a fluke and all 5 measured short. They should change the measurements when selling them. That is clearly falls advertisement, and they can not say that’s the way they have always been I have the same part number and banner that is correct, I guess the made in America with pride like most things theses days falls short, like the...
Read moreFlag is not sewn right. Blue Nylon material is folded under and stitched like that at the top of the stars section so it balloons instead of hanging flat. The leather piece is stitched inside with maybe 1 passthrough with thread. Then the pole doesnt even come with the plastic sleeve to keep flag from catching on the wood and getting caught which is why I bought this specific setup to begin with. I spent over $57.00 for the 2-1/2x4' embroidered flag and pole. The quality of these flags and poles have gone way down. I always bought from VF Flag company at the collegeville pa location and never had issues. I will no longer buy from...
